Gardiners Creek

Electoral district of Ormond was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria.Ormond was created in the 1958 redistribution, when Caulfield East (along with five others) were abolished. Ormond was abolished in 1967 when nineteen electorates, including Glenhuntly, were created.

Scotch College is an independent Presbyterian day and boarding school for boys, located in Hawthorn, an inner-eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The college was established in 1851 as The Melbourne Academy in a house in Spring Street, Melbourne, by James Forbes of the Free Presbyterian Church of Victoria. It is the oldest extant secondary school in Victoria and celebrated its sesquicentenary in 2001. Scotch is a founding member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS), and is affiliated with the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC), the Junior School Heads Association of Australia (JSHAA), the Australian Boarding Schools' Association (ABSA), the Association of Independent Schools of Victoria (AISV), and the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. The School is a member of the Global Alliance of Leading-Edge Schools.

Kooyong Stadium, at the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, is an Australian tennis venue, located in the Melbourne suburb of Kooyong. The stadium, which was built in 1927 and has undergone several renovations, has a seating capacity of slightly more than 5,000. At its peak the stadium was capable of hosting up to 15,000 patrons.

Kooyong railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Kooyong, and it opened on 24 March 1890.The station was originally named North Malvern railway station, but was renamed soon after opening, amid fears regarding the name's similarity to North Melbourne station.The line between Kooyong and Gardiner stations was duplicated in 1955, with duplication to Heyington occurring in 1957.A signal box is located on Platform 2, at the Up end of the station, to control the Glenferrie Road tramway crossing. Boom barriers replaced interlocked gates at this level crossing in 1985.

Hawthorn recorded a population of 22,322 at the 2021 census.Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn, is designated as one of 82 Major Activity Centres in the Melbourne 2030 Metropolitan Strategy.

Kooyong () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 7 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Stonnington local government area. Kooyong recorded a population of 842 at the 2021 census.Kooyong is the second most expensive suburb of Melbourne, with a median house price of $3.585 million. Kooyong takes its name from Kooyong Koot Creek, which was the original name given to Gardiners Creek by the government surveyor, Robert Hoddle, in 1837. It is thought that the name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning camp or resting place, or haunt of the wild fowl. It is best known for being the site of Kooyong Stadium.

St Kevin's College is an independent Catholic primary and secondary school for boys located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The college has five campuses, three of which are in the suburb of Toorak, the fourth in Richmond, and the fifth being a sport campus located behind Stockland Tooronga. The school owned a campsite 'Silver Creek' in the town of Flowerdale which was completely destroyed by the Black Saturday bushfires. St Kevin's was founded in 1918 by the Christian Brothers and is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria. St Kevin's overlooks Gardiners Creek, a tributary that runs into the Yarra River, with Scotch College on the opposite side. The college has a long-standing tradition with the historic St. Patrick's Cathedral and is responsible for educating their choir boys.The Archdiocese of Melbourne provides oversight of St Kevin's, and its administration is directed by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA), and is a member of both the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS) and the International Boys' Schools Coalition (IBSC). The Headmaster is a member of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).

Kevin Bartlett Reserve is public open space located in Burnley, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. The reserve is named after the Richmond footballer Kevin Bartlett, who was the first VFL player to play 400 senior games. The complex contains four soccer (football) pitches; Bastow 1, Bastow 2, Fletcher 1 and Fletcher 2. Fletcher 2 contains a synthetic cricket pitch and is used for cricket matches over the summer months. Loughnan Oval contains a turf cricket square and is used for both Australian rules football and cricket.

Auburn High School is a public co-educational high school located in Hawthorn East, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, serving Year 7 to Year 12. Formerly known as Hawthorn Secondary College, it was re-established under its current name in January 2014.Auburn High School is the only Victorian government secondary school to be offering a Binational French program. Students in this program not only learn French, but learn in French according to the French National Curriculum. The Binational French program is a select-entry, internationally recognised program which offers students a dynamic and modern approach to language learning by merging French and Australian pedagogy in classes. The French Binational programme is fully accredited by the AEFE.Its school zone includes the suburbs of Toorak, Springvale, Armadale, Malvern, Malvern East, Watergardens, Caulfield North, Burnley, Kooyong, Kew South, Hawthorn, Hawthorn East, Camberwell, Glenorchy and Glen Iris. Auburn High School is a TAAS accredited SEAL school. The program provides highly capable students with the opportunity to complete years 7–10 in three years instead of four. They may then be able to choose to do a three-year enriched and extended VCE program and a university enhancement subject in Year 12, equivalent to a first-year university subject.

Hawthorn tram depot was built in April 1916 by the Hawthorn Tramways Trust (HTT). It was built on the corner of Power Street and Wallen Road, Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The depot was close to the junction of the HTT's two main lines. It was taken over by the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board (MMTB) in 1920. In 1925 the depot was used as a school to teach tram drivers and tram conductors. In 1940, the building was also used to make uniforms for MMTB staff. The depot closed as a running depot on 13 February 1965, but was kept in use for training and uniform manufacture until the 1990s. In August 1998, Transport Minister Robin Cooper announced the site would be redeveloped as a residential complex by the Urban Land Corporation, with part of the depot to be retained as a museum. The museum was opened by Transport Minister Peter Batchelor on 19 January 2003.In 1996 the depot was added to the Victorian Heritage Register.

The Hawthorn Arts Centre (formerly the Hawthorn Town Hall) is a former civic building located in Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Designed by architect John Beswicke in the Second Empire style, the hall was built from 1888 to 1890 and housed the council chambers for the City of Hawthorn. After the City of Hawthorn was dissolved in 1994 and absorbed into the newly created City of Boroondara, the building was used as a library, museum and gallery space. A $17.9 million redevelopment was commenced in April 2012 to convert the former town hall into a regional arts space. The hall was renamed to the Hawthorn Arts Centre and officially opened in November 2013.

Heyington railway station is located on the Glen Waverley line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Toorak, and it opened on 24 March 1890.Duplication of the line between Heyington and Burnley stations occurred in 1926, with duplication between Heyington and Kooyong stations occurring in 1955. In 1969, the current overpass, located just beyond the Up end of the station, and which crosses over the Yarra River and the Monash Freeway, was provided.The current station building on Platform 1 was provided in 1975. Parcel facilities were also abolished around this time.St Kevin's College is located adjacent to Platform 2.
