Irgoli

Loculi (Sardinian: Lòcula) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 538 and an area of 38.2 square kilometres (14.7 sq mi). Loculi borders the following municipalities: Galtellì, Irgoli, Lula.

Monte Tuttavista is a limestone massif located in the comune of Galtellì, in central-eastern Sardinia. The mountain, which reaches a height of 806 metres (2,644 ft), stands isolated on the Cedrino valley and dominates a vast stretch of territory that goes from Mount Senes di Irgoli to the mountains of Dorgali. The vegetation cover consists of a mixed association of broad-leaved and coniferous trees with a prevalence of cork oak, holm oak, strawberry tree, phillyrea, mastic, myrtle, olive and the presence of Aleppo pine and domestic pine of artificial origin. Due to its remarkable environmental value, a large part of the mountain is incorporated in a forestry site managed by the Forestry Authority of Sardinia.

Galtellì (Italian: [ɡaltelˈli]; Sardinian: Garteddi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Nuoro. Galtellì borders the municipalities of: Dorgali, Irgoli, Loculi, Lula, Onifai, Orosei. Galtellì was a historic episcopal see, in the current diocese of Nuoro, in the territory of the ancient sentence of Gallura and, in particular, in the territory of the Baronie. Galtellì has one of the better-preserved historic centres in Sardinia. It has numerous churches, and the cathedral of Saint Peter houses a cycle of Romanesque frescoes.

Orosei (Sardinian: Orosèi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Nuoro. The town has 5000 inhabitants and at least 13 churches, including San Giacomo Apostolo and Sa Preione VezzaOrosei borders the following municipalities: Dorgali, Galtellì, Onifai, Siniscola. Orosei has tourist-destination beaches, including the Gulf of Orosei, Cala Ginepro, Sas Linnas Sicca Cala Liberotto, Bidderosa Oasis.The town recognizes two religious festivals, Sant'Isidoro and Santa Maria 'e Mare. They celebrate with processions.

The Grotta di Ispinigoli is a karst cave in the Supramonte range, near Dorgali, Sardinia, Italy.

The Cedrino is a river that flows in the province of Nuoro, in central-eastern Sardinia. Grazia Deledda talks about the river in various novels, including Canne al vento.According to the historian Vittorio Angius, the name (Cedrus, Cedrinus, already mentioned by Ptolemy) derives from the luxuriant presence of cedar plants that have existed since Ancient Rome.

The giants' grave of S'Ena'e Thomes is a nuragic-era archaeological site located in the municipality of Dorgali, in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia. The tomb, dating back to the Bronze Age, has a dolmen structure with a central stele. The large exedra is composed of slabs stuck into the ground and sorted by descending size from the stele. Cala Gonone is an Italian seaside town and a civil parish (frazione) of the municipality (comune) of Dorgali, Province of Nuoro, in the region of Sardinia. In 2007 it had 1,279 inhabitants.

Nuraghe Mannu is a nuragic archaeological site located about 180 metres (590 ft) above sea level overlooking the village of Cala Gonone. It is located on the east coast of Sardinia, in the middle of the gulf of Orosei, province of Nuoro and the municipality of Dorgali. The Nuraghe is partially visible from below and from the coast, from the top it gives a clear view over the surrounding area.

Cala Fuili is a beach located south along the coast from Cala Gonone, Sardinia.

Siniscola (Italian: [siniˈskɔːla]; Sardinian: Thiniscòle [θiniˈskɔlɛ]) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Nuoro. Siniscola borders the following municipalities: Irgoli, Lodè, Lula, Onifai, Orosei, Posada, Torpè.

Su Gologone is a karst spring in the Supramonte range northeast of Oliena, in the province of Nuoro, Sardinia, Italy. From the source in Oliena, a short stream originates which feeds the Cedrino. The water comes out of a crack in the limestone rock, which goes underground to the depth currently explored by speleologists of 135 m (443 ft). The maximum lean flow rate of the spring was detected as 60 liters per second in 1995 while the full flow rate is estimated at around 8,000 liters. With an average flow rate of 500 liters of water per second, Su Gologone is the most important spring in Sardinia.
