The Rhine leaves that part of Lake Constance known as the Upper Lake or Obersee as the Seerhein near Konstanz. After six kilometres it forms the Rheinsee, through which the river current flows. At its outflow is the island of Werd with its Franciscan monastery. The Rheinsee, together with the Zeller See and the Gnadensee, which surround the island of Reichenau, form the Untersee. The latter, together with the Seerhein, are considered part of Lake Constance. In the specialist literature, however, it is also stated that the Rhine leaves Lake Constance at Konstanz. According to this proposition, the Untersee would be a separate lake. The Rheinsee forms the international border between Switzerland and Germany. The eastern part of the Rheinsee is the Bay of Ermatigen (Ermatinger Bucht). The greatest depth of the Rheinsee, 45 metres, is simultaneously the deepest point of the entire Untersee.At the outflow of the Rheinsee lies Stein am Rhein, a little town situated on either side of the river.

The Radolfzeller Aach (also known as Hegauer Aach) is a right or north tributary of the Rhine in the south of Baden-Württemberg (Germany). It is approximately 32 km long.

Mammern Castle is a castle in the municipality of Mammern of the Canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The Zeller See (Standard German of Germany; Swiss Standard German: Zellersee; could be translated as "Lake of Radolfzell") is part of the Lower Lake, the lower part of Lake Constance. It lies in the bay of Radolfzell, and between the peninsula of Mettnau to the north and the peninsula of Höri to the south. To the west it is bounded by the ried of the Radolfzeller Aach.The Zeller See has a maximum depth of 22 metres.

Mammern railway station (German: Bahnhof Mammern) is a railway station in Mammern, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. It is an intermediate stop on the Lake line and is served as a request stop by local trains only. The original station building is now a private home; passengers use a wooden shelter on the platform.

The Liebesinsel ("Love Island") is a small, uninhabited island on Lake Constance in Germany.
