Steckborn

Steckborn District is a former district of the canton of Thurgau, Switzerland. It had a population of 18,215 (as of 2009). Its capital was the town of Steckborn. The former district contained the following municipalities:

Steckborn railway station (German: Bahnhof Steckborn) is a railway station in Steckborn, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. It is an intermediate stop on the Lake line and is served by local trains only.

Gaienhofen is a municipality in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is located at the border with Switzerland. Since 1974, Gaienhofen consists of four villages: Gaienhofen, Gundholzen, Hemmenhofen and Horn. Attractions, apart from the Lake of Constance, include the Hermann-Hesse-Höri-Museum and the Museum Haus Dix.

The Museum Haus Dix or House Museum Dix is the former studio and home of the German painter Otto Dix in Hemmenhofen, a district of the municipality of Gaienhofen, and also an establishment of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.

The Rhine leaves that part of Lake Constance known as the Upper Lake or Obersee as the Seerhein near Konstanz. After six kilometres it forms the Rheinsee, through which the river current flows. At its outflow is the island of Werd with its Franciscan monastery. The Rheinsee, together with the Zeller See and the Gnadensee, which surround the island of Reichenau, form the Untersee. The latter, together with the Seerhein, are considered part of Lake Constance. In the specialist literature, however, it is also stated that the Rhine leaves Lake Constance at Konstanz. According to this proposition, the Untersee would be a separate lake. The Rheinsee forms the international border between Switzerland and Germany. The eastern part of the Rheinsee is the Bay of Ermatigen (Ermatinger Bucht). The greatest depth of the Rheinsee, 45 metres, is simultaneously the deepest point of the entire Untersee.At the outflow of the Rheinsee lies Stein am Rhein, a little town situated on either side of the river.

Horn (am Bodensee) is a village in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is administratively part of the town of Gaienhofen in the Konstanz district.

Berlingen is a municipality in Frauenfeld District in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland. It is located on the Untersee, the west tip of Lake Constance.

Berlingen railway station (German: Bahnhof Berlingen) is a railway station in Berlingen, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau. It is an intermediate stop on the Lake line and is served as a request stop by local trains only.

Homburg is a municipality in Frauenfeld District in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.

The Untersee (German for Lower Lake), also known as Lower Lake Constance, is the smaller of the two lakes that together form Lake Constance and forms part of the boundary between Switzerland and Germany.

The Seerücken is a hill range of the northern Swiss Plateau, located in the canton of Thurgau. On its north side it overlooks the Untersee branch of Lake Constance. The summit area of the Seerücken consists of a 700-metre-high plateau, where are the hamlets of Reutenen and Salen. The culminating point (721 m) is located at Büürer Holz, south of Reutenen.

The Radolfzeller Aach (also known as Hegauer Aach) is a right or north tributary of the Rhine in the south of Baden-Württemberg (Germany). It is approximately 32 km long.
