WFNZ (AM)

Hoskins Mill is a historic cotton mill located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1903–1904, and is a rectangular brick building consisting of a three-story, main section with a one-story weaving room addition. The floor of the mill was used for weaving, the second for carding, and the third for spinning. Also on the property is a 1 1/2-story, rectangular brick office building. It was used as a mill through 1985.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

WOGR (1540 AM) is a radio station in Charlotte, North Carolina. The station has an urban gospel radio format with some Christian talk and teaching programs. It is owned by Victory Christian Center, a charismatic megachurch in Charlotte. Programming is simulcast on WOGR-FM (93.3) in Salisbury, WGAS (1420 AM) in South Gastonia and FM translator W202BW (88.3 MHz) in Harrisburg. VCC also owns low-powered Christian television station WGTB-CD. Together, these stations are branded as the "Word of God Broadcasting Network" (WordNet), airing from studios at the church's middle school in northwest Charlotte. WOGR is a daytimer, powered at 2,400 watts, using a directional antenna. Because AM 1540 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A stations KXEL in Waterloo, Iowa and ZNS-1 in Nassau, Bahamas, WOGR must sign-off the air at sunset.

Thomas and Latitia Gluyas House is a historic home located near Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built about 1865, and is a two-story, three-bay, I-house with a one-story rear ell. It has side gable roof, exterior brick end chimneys, and a full-width hip roofed porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

West Charlotte High School (also called Dub-C or WC) is a comprehensive high school in west Charlotte, near Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is state-funded.

Dr. Walter Pharr Craven House is a historic home located near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The house was built about 1888, and is a two-story, vernacular Victorian style frame dwelling. It is associated with a small farm that supported the family of a country doctor. Also on the property are the contributing frame well canopy (1929), family Catholic chapel (c. 1910), central passage barn (c. 1920), log corn crib (c. 1888), tool shed (c. 1920), and auto-garage (c. 1920).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located at Huntersville, North Carolina. The church was built in 1886–1887, and is a small rural "English country Gothic" style brick church. It has a cross-shaped plan with a three-bay-long nave, a pair of small single-bay side wings, and a one-bay chancel. Also on the property is the wood-frame parsonage; a two-story L-shaped dwelling with a Victorian doorway and porch trim. It was built about 1897.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, with a boundary increase in 1991.

Northwest School of the Arts is a grade 6 through 12 art magnet school in Charlotte, North Carolina. The school enrolls around 1100 students. Students audition for acceptance and choose a major. Majors available include performing arts (theatre, technical theatre, musical theatre, ballet, modern dance, tap, jazz, orchestra, choir, and band) and visual arts (painting, drawing, studio, printmaking, photography, fibers, sculpting, ceramics, and other classes which depend on availability and student participation), as well as technical theatre. A communications major was added for the 2010–2011 school year and beyond. NWSA hosts a variety of AP classes, including AP art classes such as AP Studio and AP academics like AP English and AP Biology. Northwest students are active in organizations such as Student Leadership, Diversity Club, Yearbook, Literary Magazine, various honors societies. Every morning, Northwest School of the Arts begins the day with a "Daily Affirmation". The affirmation was written by long time dancer, choreographer, and faculty member Chandra McCloud. The affirmation, which follows the Pledge of Allegiance, reads: "I have a gift. I am talented. I am a doer; not a quitter. I matter to others and to myself. That is why I will be good to others and good to myself. I am a leader. I will walk in my excellence."

Metrolina Speedway was an auto racing track located in northeast Charlotte, North Carolina on the Metrolina Fairgrounds.

Coulwood is a collection of neighborhoods in Charlotte, North Carolina located between the Brookshire Freeway and Mount Holly Rd. This community area was created c. 1953, and in 1958 the Coulwood Community Council was created. This area is home to Paw Creek Elementary School and Coulwood Middle School as well as Coulwood Park and the Coulwood community pool. This area also is home to an annual 4th of July parade and celebration that starts at the middle school and ends at the elementary school, with a celebration at the park and pool.

Paw Creek is primarily considered to be a community and neighborhood in the northwest part of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina. It is generally defined geographically by the original boundaries of Paw Creek Township. Most of Paw Creek is within the city limits of Charlotte but the areas that have not yet been annexed are also recognized as a Township of North Carolina.

Former Thrift Mill is a historic textile mill complex and national historic district located near Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The complex was built about 1912 and consists of three principal production and warehouse buildings: the Main Building; the Weave Department; and the Warehouse. Other contributing resources are the Storage Structure (c. 1912); the Reservoir (c. 1912); Water Tower No. 1 (c. 1925); Water Tower No. 2 (c. 1925); and Pump House No. 1 (c. 1925).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Northlake Mall is a two-story modern shopping mall located eight miles (13 km) north of center city Charlotte, North Carolina off Interstate 77 at exit 18, Harris Blvd, and off Interstate 485 at exit 21, also at Harris Blvd. The mall was owned by Starwood Capital Group and is currently managed by Spinoso Real Estate Group.
