City of Stirling

Stirling is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, about 10 km north of Perth's central business district (CBD) along the Mitchell Freeway. Its local government area is the City of Stirling, whose council offices and administration centre are located in the southwest of the mostly residential suburb.

Balcatta is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Western Australia. The district is based in Perth's northern suburbs. A historically safe Labor seat, it was held by the Liberal Party for one term between 2013 and 2017.

Macedonia Park is a multi-use stadium in Perth, Western Australia. It is mainly used for soccer and is the home ground for Stirling Macedonia. The stadium has a capacity of 7,000 people.

Westfield Innaloo is a major shopping centre in the northern suburbs of Perth. It is located at the corner of Scarborough Beach Road and Ellen Stirling Boulevard (formerly Oswald Street) in Innaloo, approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) north-west of the Perth central business district. The shopping centre is approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 mi), or 3 minutes by bus, from Stirling Train Station, and is part of Stirling City Centre.In 2020 the shopping centre was intended to be rebranded to Westfield Stirling, but as of 13 March 2022 that has not happened. Honouring James Stirling, after whom the City of Stirling is named in which Westfield Innaloo is situated and which is itself facing calls to rename, is increasingly under pressure, because Stirling personally led the attack on a group of approximately seventy Bindjareb men, women and children on 28 October 1834 now known as the Pinjarra massacre. That massacre lasted at least an hour and resulted in the deaths of one soldier and an estimated 15–30 men, women and children.

Innaloo is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, 9 km (5.6 mi) from Perth's central business district in the local government area of the City of Stirling. Innaloo is an established residential suburb that is home to the Westfield Innaloo and Westfield Innaloo Megacentre shopping centres, and is adjacent to Perth's largest cinema complex, the 18-cinema Event Cinemas.

Tuart Hill is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Tuart Hill is named after the tuart tree that once grew extensively throughout the area, especially around Dog Swamp. In 1914 the suburb name of Grenville was proposed as a name for the suburb by the Grenville Progress Association, but not accepted due to its likeness to Granville in New South Wales.
