Oriole Beach is an unincorporated community located in Santa Rosa County, Florida, United States on Santa Rosa Sound. It lies east of Gulf Breeze on the Fairpoint Peninsula, and about three miles north of Pensacola Beach. Oriole Beach is part of the Pensacola–Ferry Pass–Brent Metropolitan Statistical Area.

A small parking area, gazebo, and public access point are located on Dickerson City Road. Located on County Road 191, approximately one mile north of the intersection with County Road 281 and along both sides of the highway on Blackwater Bay.

Dickerson City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Santa Rosa County, Florida, United States. Its population was 146 as of the 2010 census. The community is located on the eastern side of Garcon Point.

National Airlines Flight 193, registration N4744, Donna, was a Boeing 727-235 en route from Miami, Florida to Pensacola on May 8, 1978. It was scheduled with stops at Melbourne, Florida; Tampa; New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama. The accident occurred at night in low visibility from fog. During the descent into Pensacola Regional Airport it impacted Escambia Bay, sinking in 12 feet (3.7 m) of water.

The Naval Live Oaks Reservation (also known as Deer Point Live Oaks Reservation or Deer Point Plantation) is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, and is near Gulf Breeze, Florida. It was purchased by U.S. government in 1828 as the first federal tree farm and began operations January 18, 1829. It serves today as part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore forest community preserved by the National Park Service on January 8, 1971, and added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on September 28, 1998.

The Fairpoint Peninsula, also referred to as the Gulf Breeze Peninsula or the Navarre Peninsula or historically the Santa Rosa Peninsula, is located in northwest Florida between Santa Rosa Sound (the location of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway's route through the region) and Pensacola Bay.

The Big Heart West is an archaeological site near Gulf Breeze, Florida. On September 28, 1998, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Hyer—Knowles Planing Mill Chimney in Pensacola, Florida is all that remains of an 1854 steam-powered sawmill. When the Confederacy abandoned the city in 1862, all the mills were destroyed so they could not be used by the Union. The only part of the building that survived was the chimney. It is now part of Chimney Park, a wayside park along US 90. The chimney was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 24, 2012.

WPNN (790 AM) is a commercial radio station in Pensacola, Florida. It broadcasts a talk radio format and is owned by Miracle Radio. It calls itself "Pensacola's Talk and Local Sports Leader." The radio studios and transmitter are on North Pace Boulevard at Kelly Avenue in Pensacola. By day, WPNN transmits with 1,000 watts using a non-directional antenna, but at night, to avoid interference with other stations on 790 AM, it reduces power to only 66 watts. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator W279CY at 103.7 MHz. Most of WPNN's schedule is from nationally syndicated programs. Weekdays on WPNN begin with "This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal." That's followed by Glenn Beck, Dana Loesch, Sebastian Gorka, Joe Pags, Jesse Kelly, Michael Berry and "Coast to Coast AM with George Noory." Weekends feature specialty shows on money, health, religion, travel, veterans, guns and real estate. Weekend shows include "Bill Handel on the Law" and "Our American Stories with Lee Habeeb." Most hours begin with CBS Radio News. WPNN also carries New Orleans Pelicans basketball games and some local high school sports.
