The combat of Turbigo was a military engagement of the War of the Second Coalition that took place on 31 May 1800 (11 Prairial VIII) in Turbigo between Austrian and French forces, the latter coming from Piedmont after crossing the Alps.

Galliate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northeast of Turin, about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest Milan and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Novara. Galliate borders the following municipalities: Cameri, Novara, Romentino, Cuggiono, Bernate Ticino, Robecchetto con Induno, Turbigo. Malpensa Aeroporto Terminal 1 is a railway station serving Terminal 1 of Milan–Malpensa Airport. It opened in 1999 as Malpensa Aeroporto, as the then western terminus of the Busto Arsizio–Malpensa Airport railway, and is managed by Ferrovienord. In 2016, following the 3.4 kilometer railway extension to Terminal 2, the station was renamed Malpensa Aeroporto Terminal 1.

As of 1 January 2014, it had a population of 4,822 and an area of 7.83 square kilometres (3.02 sq mi).It is the ancestral home of the Pisoni family. Buscate borders the following municipalities: Magnago, Dairago, Castano Primo, Arconate, Inveruno, Cuggiono.

Vizzola Ticino is a village and comune of the province of Varese in Lombardy, Italy. It is on the banks of the Ticino River, immediately to the west of Strada Provinciale 52 on the western perimeter of Malpensa Airport. In the late 19th century, the town was the site of one of the largest electrical generating facilities in Europe, powered by a canal run from the Ticino. The Caproni aircraft company had a manufacturing facility here and the Gianni Caproni Museum of Aeronautics was situated here from the 1960s to the 1980s.
