Galliate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northeast of Turin, about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest Milan and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Novara. Galliate borders the following municipalities: Cameri, Novara, Romentino, Cuggiono, Bernate Ticino, Robecchetto con Induno, Turbigo. It is home to a late-15th-century castle built under the Sforza family of Milan, and to the 16th-century sanctuary of Varallino, designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi. The commune's territory is included in the Ticino River Natural Park.

The Visconti-Sforza Castle or Sforza Castle of Galliate is a medieval castle in Galliate, Piedmont, Northern Italy. It was erected in the 15th century by the Sforza, dukes of Milan, on a previous fortification (the Rocchetta) built by their progenitors Visconti.

San Vito a Cavagliano is a church in Bellinzago Novarese, Italy. The church was built in the Romanesque style. The interior is richly decorated with frescos executed in the 15th or 16th centuries by a follower of Gaudenzio Ferrari.

The Ticino Valley Natural Park is a nature reserve\regional park in Piedmont, Italy. It is an riverine park that forms a greenway outside of Milan, near Pavia and Varese. It is located along the Ticino. Inhabiting the park are foxes, badgers, weasels, skunks, and martens, along with reintroduced European otters and roe deer. It is a notable fishing and birdwatching locale. Located in the park are Bernate Ticino and Morimondo Abbey.

It is the junction of the Novara–Arona, Novara–Domodossola and Novara–Varallo The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). Train services are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Novara Nord is a railway station in Italy. It is the end of the Saronno–Novara railway.It serves the city of Novara, and is joined by a junction track to the Novara railway station, managed by Ferrovie dello Stato.

The combat of Turbigo was a military engagement of the War of the Second Coalition that took place on 31 May 1800 (11 Prairial VIII) in Turbigo between Austrian and French forces, the latter coming from Piedmont after crossing the Alps.

A second station, the Novara Nord railway station, is located a short distance away, and serves as the terminus of the Saronno–Novara railway, which is owned by Trenord.

Novara (Italian: [noˈvaːra] , Novarese: [nuˈ(ʋ)aːra]) is the capital city of the province of Novara in the Piedmont region in northwest Italy, to the west of Milan. With 101,916 inhabitants (on 1 January 2021), it is the second most populous city in Piedmont after Turin. It is an important crossroads for commercial traffic along the routes from Milan to Turin and from Genoa to Switzerland. Novara lies between the streams Agogna and Terdoppio in northeastern Piedmont, 50 km (31 mi) from Milan and 95 km (59 mi) from Turin. It is only 15 km (9.3 mi) distant from the river Ticino, which marks the border with Lombardy region.

The Basilica of San Gaudenzio is a church in Novara, Piedmont, northern Italy. It is the highest point in the city. It is dedicated to Gaudentius of Novara, first Christian bishop of the city. It was built between 1577 and 1690 following the destruction of the old Basilica, ordered by Emperor Charles V. The Basilica itself was built by Pellegrino Tibaldi; however, the monumental cupola was designed by Alessandro Antonelli (who also designed the Mole Antonelliana in Torino). The cupola was completed in 1887.

The province of Novara (Italian: provincia di Novara) is a province in the Piedmont region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Novara. In 1992, the new province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola was created through the fusion of three geographical areas which had previously been part of the province of Novara. It has an area of 1,339 square kilometres (517 sq mi) and a population of 362,925 (2021). The province contains 87 comuni (SG: comune) (see list of comuni of the province of Novara).

Nosate (Milanese: Nosàa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) northwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 649 and an area of 5.0 square kilometres (1.9 sq mi).Nosate borders the following municipalities: Lonate Pozzolo, Bellinzago Novarese, Castano Primo, Cameri. In addition to Nosate, there are three villages in the municipality: Cascina del Ponte di Castano, Cascina Ponte di Castano, and Case sparse. The eighth century church Santa Maria in Binda is found within the municipality's limits.
