Bolton St Catherine's Academy is a mixed Church of England all-through school. The school is located in the Breightmet area of Bolton in the English county of Greater Manchester.The school was formed in September 2009 from the merger of Withins School and Top o'th' Brow Primary School, both community schools administered by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council. Bolton St Catherine's Academy became part of The Bishop Fraser Trust in May 2018 alongside Canon Slade School and St James's CofE High School. www.thebishopfrasertrust.org.uk but coordinates with Bolton Council for admissions. The school offers Nursery, primary - double class entry per year, secondary - 160 per year, education for pupils aged 3 to 16. In 2012 Bolton St Catherine's Academy relocated from the two former school sites to a new campus on Stitch-Mi-Lane. The new campus also houses Firwood Special School, a community special school for pupils aged 11 – 16. BSCA work in partnership not only with Canon Slade School and St James's CofE High School, but also the Manchester Diocese, Bolton Council, Urban Outreach, NHS and local Churches - Christ Church, Kings Church and Bridge Church whom work closely with out Christian Youth Support Workers. The students at BSCA fundraise for 3 main charities - Urban Outreach, Comic/Sport Relief and Christian Aid.

Leverhulme Park is the largest park in the town of Bolton, Greater Manchester. It was donated to the people of Bolton by, and named after, the late Lord Leverhulme. The park is bounded by the Breightmet, Darcy Lever, the Haulgh, and Tonge Fold. Since its earlier days as simply a park, Leverhulme Park has diversified. It is now home to a community centre, an athletics stadium and five-a-side football pitches. It was also the home to the Bolton Show which ran intermittently for more than fifty years.

Seven Acres Country Park is a country park and Local Nature Reserve in Bolton, Greater Manchester. It lies between the areas of Tonge and Breightmet, and is dissected by Bradshaw Brook. Seven Acres Country Park is more than 300 years old, and is depicted on maps dating back to at least 1764.

Ainsworth Mill, Breightmet is a mercerising mill near the Breightmet neighborhood of Bolton, Greater Manchester. It was bought by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation in the 1940s as an attempt to develop a cotton finishing presence.

Tonge is an outlying area of Bolton, in Greater Manchester, England. The name is supposed to be derived from the Old English "tang" or "twang" meaning a fork in a river. Tonge comprises two areas, namely Tonge Fold and Tonge Moor. Tonge Fold sits upon the River Tonge, a region of whose banks are a geological site of special scientific interest (SSSI).Historically a part of Lancashire, it was once part of the township of Tonge with Haulgh. By the end of the 19th century Tonge was home to a coal mine.

Darcy Lever is an area of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton in Greater Manchester, England. Historically part of Lancashire, the area lies on the B6209 (Radcliffe Road), between Bolton and Little Lever. Its history dates to the time of William the Conqueror when it was part of the Salford Hundred given to Roger of Poitou for his participation in the Norman conquest of England.

Little Lever School is a mixed secondary school located in Little Lever in the English county of Greater Manchester.Little Lever school was previously a community school with a specialism in Business and Enterprise that was administered by Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council. However Little Lever School converted to academy status in December 2015 and is judged by Ofsted to 'require improvement' . The school offers GCSEs, BTECs and ASDAN courses as programmes of study for pupils. Little Lever School coordinates with Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council for admissions, and the main feeder primary schools are Bowness Primary School, Masefield Primary School, Mytham Primary School, St Matthew's CE Primary School, St Stephen's & All Martyrs CE Primary School and St Teresa's RC Primary School.

Bradshaw Brook is a river draining parts of Lancashire and Greater Manchester in Northern England. Starting life as Cadshaw Brook draining a valley named Green Lowe Clough on Turton Moor, the brook feeds the Turton and Entwistle Reservoir and Wayoh Reservoir (the latter also fed by Blackstone Brook and Whittlestone Head Brook). From there, the river traverses Turton Bottoms and passes Chapeltown before feeding Jumbles Reservoir (along with Hazelhurst Brook). Bradshaw Brook then passes Bromley Cross and Bradshaw on its way to meet the River Tonge at Leverhulme Park east of Bolton.

St Stephen and All Martyrs' Church, Lever Bridge, is in Darcy Lever, Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Walmsley, the archdeaconry of Bolton, and the diocese of Manchester. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is the first of three "pot churches" designed by Edmund Sharpe, so-called because they are constructed largely of terracotta.

Bradley Fold railway station served Bradley Fold on the now closed line between Bury and Bolton. The route was lost to a housing development at Bradley Fold in 1994.
