École d'ingénieurs Denis-Diderot is a French engineering college, created in 2011. The school trains engineers in physics, biology, nanotechnologies, and IT. Located in Paris, the École d'ingénieurs Denis-Diderot is a public higher education institution member of the Université Paris Cité. The school has been named in honour of the French philosopher Denis Diderot.

The Institut de recherche en informatique fondamentale (IRIF; English: Fundamental Computing Research Institute) is a French research institute supporting advanced research in computer science. It is located in Paris. It is a public research institute in a partnership with the Université Paris Cité.

The Institut Jacques Monod, funded jointly by the CNRS and the University Paris Diderot, is one of the main centres for basic research in biology in Paris, France. It is headed by Michel Werner. There are 3 broad research topics (Genome and chromosome dynamics, Cellular dynamics and signalling, Development and evolution) and 2 main transverse axes (Quantitative biology and modelling, Molecular and cellular pathologies). Research at the interface of biology with physics, mathematics, chemistry and medicine is strongly encouraged. Some 300 people work at the Institute (tenured investigators, Ph.D. students, post-docs, technicians, engineers, French and foreign visitors, and administrative staff).

The Astroparticle and Cosmology (APC) laboratory in Paris gathers researchers (experimentalists, theorists and observers) working in different areas including high-energy astrophysics, cosmology, gravitation, and neutrino physics.The institute was founded in January 2005 and soon moved to new campus of Paris Diderot University in the Paris Rive Gauche area. The laboratory is a "Mixed Research Unit" in French terminology, funded by Paris Diderot University, the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (represented by three of its Institutes: mainly IN2P3, but also INSU and INP), the Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, and the Paris Observatory. The first director of the laboratory was Pierre Binetruy (2005-2013). From January 2014 until December 2017 the director was Stavros Katsanevas, followed by Sotiris Loucatos, and Antoine Kouchner (since July 2018).

The Great Mills of Paris (Grands Moulins de Paris) are former industrial flourmills which were built in Paris during World War I; they have now been rebuilt and become part of a university campus situated on “Quai Panhard-et-Levassor”. This campus is part of the Paris Rive Gauche development project, in the area known as “quartier de la Gare”, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Paris Diderot University, also known as Paris 7 (French: Université Paris Diderot), was a French university located in Paris, France. It was one of the inheritors of the historic University of Paris, which was split into 13 universities in 1970. Paris Diderot merged with Paris Descartes University in 2019 to form Paris Cité University. With two Nobel Prize laureates, two Fields Medal winners and two former French Ministers of Education among its faculty or former faculty, the university was famous for its teaching in science, especially in mathematics. Many fundamental results of the theory of probability were discovered at one of its research centres, the Laboratoire de Probabilités et Modèles Aléatoires (Laboratory of Probability and Random Models).

The Pont Amont (French for "upriver bridge") is a bridge in Paris which carries the Boulevard Périphérique (Paris' inner ring road) over the Seine River. Entirely dedicated to motor traffic, it is the first bridge to be seen when following the Seine downstream into Paris. The bridge links the 12th and 13th arrondissements, near the Quai d'Ivry and the Quai de Bercy. The bridge being 270 m long, it is the second longest bridge in Paris, after its downstream counterpart, the Pont Aval, which also carries the Périphérique. Inaugurated in 1969, it has not been given an official name : its current designation (Pont Amont) is, much like for the Pont Aval, completely unofficial.

Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (English: National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations), abbreviated as INALCO, is a French university specializing in the teaching of languages and cultures from the world. Its coverage spans languages of Central Europe, Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania. It is also informally called Langues’O (IPA: [lɑ̃ɡz‿o]), an abbreviation for Langues orientales.

The Bibliothèque universitaire des langues et civilisations (BULAC) is a major academic library located in Paris Rive Gauche and which has been open to the public since its 2011 opening. The library has a scope that includes all languages and civilisations that are not those of the Western World. It provides more than one million documents written in all languages, formed from the former collections of more than 20 libraries.

Les Frigos is an arts centre located at 19 rue des Frigos in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France. The large building is a former refrigerated storage depot built in 1920. It was squatted in 1985 and later legalized.

Bibliothèque François Mitterrand (French pronunciation: ​[biblijɔtɛk fʁɑ̃swa mitɛʁɑ̃]) is a station of the Paris Métro and RER, named after the former French president, François Mitterrand, and serving the area surrounding the new building of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), whose site near the station is also named after Mitterrand, and the Paris Diderot University. It is a transfer point between Line 14 of the Paris Metro and the RER C. It is situated on the Paris–Bordeaux railway.

The pont de Tolbiac is a bridge across the Seine in Paris built between 1879 and 1882 by H.P. Bernard, and J.D.A. Pérouse. It crosses from the 12th to the 13th arrondissement, linking quai de Bercy to rue Neuve Tolbiac. Its nearest Paris Metro station is Cour Saint-Émilion.
