BBC Radio Wales is a Welsh radio station owned and operated by BBC Cymru Wales, a division of the BBC. It began broadcasting on 13 November 1978, replacing the 'Radio 4 Wales' opt-out service (previously the Welsh Home Service). Radio Wales broadcasts in English, whilst sister network Radio Cymru has Welsh language programming. The station's managing editor is Colin Paterson.According to RAJAR, BBC Radio Wales has a weekly audience of 371,000 listeners and a listening share of 5.3% as of December 2021.

Rookwood Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Rookwood) is a rehabilitation hospital situated in Llandaff, in the city of Cardiff in South Wales. It is managed by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Insole Court is a Grade II* Listed Victorian Gothic mansion in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales, built for wealthy businessman James Harvey Insole (1821 Worcester - 1901 Llandaff) and dating back to 1855. The mansion and Stable Yard are operated by a registered charity, the Insole Court Trust, who began operating the site in 2016. After an extensive refurbishment, the ground floor of the mansion reopened to the public in September 2017. In 2018, the first floor opened to the public for the first time, with an exhibition, 'This House is a Stage' that tells the story of the Insole family. The site hosts daily classes and activities, as well as a The Potting Shed Café and room hire facilities. The mansion is free to visit and is open every day.

Fairwater railway station is a railway station serving the Fairwater area of Cardiff, Wales. Passenger services are currently operated by Transport for Wales. The station was opened in 1987 when a passenger service was introduced to the City Line. The line on which it is situated on was originally goods only and was opened by the Taff Vale Railway in 1859 to serve the docks at Penarth.

Danescourt railway station is a railway station serving the Danescourt suburb of Cardiff, Wales. The station is situated on the Cardiff City Line 3 miles (5 km) north of Cardiff Central. The City Line was freight only from its opening (in 1859) until 1987, when British Rail introduced a passenger service between Cardiff Central and Radyr. Some non-stop passenger trains pass through in both directions. Both of the station's two platforms are accessible for disabled passengers via ramps. The Cardiff Central-bound platform is accessible via a bridge, whilst the Radyr-bound platform is accessible via a residential road (Beale Close) off the main road (Danescourt Way). A footbridge links the two platforms.

Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf (Taff Bank Welsh Language Comprehensive School) is a Welsh-medium coeducational secondary school in Llandaff North, a district in the north of Cardiff, Wales; it is the largest of its kind in the country. Of the three Welsh-medium secondary schools serving Cardiff, it was the first to be established; the others are Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern. Although all students speak Welsh and normally have received Welsh-language primary education, 68% (as of 2005) come from homes where Welsh is not the first language.

The station has an unusual staggered platform arrangement, one platform straddles the bridge over the roadway.Waun-gron Park is the nearest station to the large suburb of Ely which is 10 minutes' walk from the station along Western Avenue and over Ely Bridge.
