Capel House (now known as The Gore) is a detached house at 25 Llantrisant Road in the Llandaff district of Cardiff. It was designed by the Welsh modernist architect Graham Brooks of Hird & Brooks and built in 1966. It is noted for its distinctive modernist use of painted white brick, exposed timber joints and a flat roof.Brooks was greatly influenced by Danish modernist architecture, and had designed his personal residence in a modernist style in 1964. Capel House was awarded the T. Alwyn Lloyd memorial Gold Medal for Architecture at the National Eisteddfod of Wales of 1968. Capel House was the model for Hird & Brooks's The Mount development of sixteen single-storey houses in Dinas Powys.It was featured in the Daily Mail Book of Bungalow Plans 1968/69, and Alan Powers' 2007 book Britain: Modern Architectures in History.The house received a Commendation in the Civic Trust Awards of 1966.

Fairwater railway station is a railway station serving the Fairwater area of Cardiff, Wales. Passenger services are currently operated by Transport for Wales. The station was opened in 1987 when a passenger service was introduced to the City Line. The line on which it is situated on was originally goods only and was opened by the Taff Vale Railway in 1859 to serve the docks at Penarth.

It began broadcasting on 13 November 1978, replacing the 'Radio 4 Wales' opt-out service (previously the Welsh Home Service). Radio Wales broadcasts in English, whilst sister network Radio Cymru has Welsh language programming. Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf (Taff Bank Welsh Language Comprehensive School) is a Welsh-medium coeducational secondary school in Llandaff North, a district in the north of Cardiff, Wales; it is the largest of its kind in the country. Of the three Welsh-medium secondary schools serving Cardiff, it was the first to be established; the others are Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Plasmawr and Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern. Although all students speak Welsh and normally have received Welsh-language primary education, 68% (as of 2005) come from homes where Welsh is not the first language.

Llandaff North (Welsh: Ystum Taf), is a district, community and coterminous electoral ward in the north of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.

The Church of St John the Baptist is a listed Anglican church which serves the suburbs of Radyr and Danescourt in Cardiff. According to legend, the area of Radyr was the home in the 5th Century of a hermit named Tylywai, a disciple of St Cadog, who founded a chapel or wayside shrine there. The presence of an actual church is thought to date from the 11th Century; by which time the area was on the route of pilgrims travelling to Llandaf to pay respects to St Teilo. It is referred to in written records in 1254, by which time it was already long-established. The early church was replaced in the 13th Century. Elements of the Medieval architecture survive in the present building, though the church was extensively restored and modified by John Prichard in the 1860s, and further modifications occurred in the years following. The church, which was surrounded by fields until the 1970s, became listed in 1975. The parents of the author Roald Dahl are buried in the churchyard.

Rookwood Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Rookwood) is a rehabilitation hospital situated in Llandaff, in the city of Cardiff in South Wales. It is managed by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Insole Court is a Grade II* Listed Victorian Gothic mansion in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales, built for wealthy businessman James Harvey Insole (1821 Worcester - 1901 Llandaff) and dating back to 1855. The mansion and Stable Yard are operated by a registered charity, the Insole Court Trust, who began operating the site in 2016. After an extensive refurbishment, the ground floor of the mansion reopened to the public in September 2017. In 2018, the first floor opened to the public for the first time, with an exhibition, 'This House is a Stage' that tells the story of the Insole family. The site hosts daily classes and activities, as well as a The Potting Shed Café and room hire facilities. The mansion is free to visit and is open every day.
