Bulwell Hall Halt railway station was a halt between Nottingham and Hucknall on the Great Central Railway main line, the last main line to be built from the north of England to London, opened on 15 March 1899.

Bulwell Hall Estate is a council estate in the City of Nottingham, and is located in the Bulwell ward. The estate is located roughly 0.9 miles (1.4 km) from Bulwell and about 5 miles (8 km) from the city centre. Surrounding areas include Hucknall and Bestwood Village towards the north, Rise Park to the east and Bulwell to the south. At the 2001 Census, the estate had a population of 2,181.

Like all the other intermediate stops on this section, the stop has a passing loop with an island platform situated between the two tracks of the loop.Moor Bridge serves as one of several park and ride stops on the NET network, with more than 100 car parking spaces located next to the stop. It is the most northerly stop within the city of Nottingham, with Butler's Hill, the next stop north, being in the district of Ashfield.With the opening of NET's phase two, Moor Bridge is now on NET line 1, which runs from Hucknall through the city centre to Beeston and Chilwell. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.

Bestwood St. Albans is a former civil parish in the Gedling borough of Nottinghamshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 4,950. At the time of the 2011 census the population had increased to 5,259. The parish included the Bestwood Village and Bestwood Lodge areas, as well as Warren Hill, Warren Wood, Deer Park and 'The Gardens' on the northern outskirts of the Greater Nottingham conurbation, but not the area of Nottingham itself known as Bestwood. Bestwood St. Albans ceased to exist on 31 March 2018, after which date it was replaced by Bestwood Village parish and St Albans parish.

The Leen Valley is the wide valley formed by the River Leen within the county of Nottinghamshire. The Leen Valley was once an important centre for hosiery and coal mining industries. Today, although light manufacturing continues, the valley is increasingly becoming part of the commuter belt for Nottingham. Settlements within the valley include Annesley, Bestwood Village, Newstead, Papplewick, Linby, Hucknall, Bulwell, Sherwood, Basford, Lenton and Nottingham. Leen Valley is also the name of one of the Council wards, which lies within Nottingham, and a housing estate in the north of Nottingham, which is located in a valley created by the Leen within the larger Leen Valley area. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 10,702.

Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The tram stop should not be confused with the former Bulwell Forest railway station, which was situated on the, now closed, Great Northern Railway's Nottingham to Shirebrook line, some 750 metres (2,460 ft) to the south-east of the tram stop. The Robin Hood line that passes alongside the stop was originally the former Midland Railway route from Nottingham to Worksop, but there has never been a railway station at the stop's location.There is a road level crossing just to the south of the tram stop, and pedestrian access to the stop is from this crossing. At the crossing, both tram and railway lines are protected by the automatic barriers. The Springfield Retail Park, containing branches of Morrisons, Matalan, Wickes and Brantano, is adjacent to the tram stop.

Farleys Brook is the name of a minor watercourse in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. It rises in a pool within Watnall Coppice close to the M1 motorway at the foot of the Misk Hills, coordinates 53.034471 N, 1.248907 W. It flows southeastwards through the Misk Meadows, passing very briefly into Broxtowe Borough, before returning to Ashfield District, then Pennine View, and Nabbs Lane Estates, where several parks and open spaces are centred on flood prevention lagoons. The Brook flows past the former Hucknall Aerodrome and into Farleys Lane Nature Area, following the A611 Hucknall Bypass. Farleys Lane Spring rises in the Brook close to this point and a deep pool is formed which is used for paddling and bathing. The Brook flows into the River Leen close to Moorbridge, Bulwell.

The Church of St John the Divine, Bulwell is a parish church in the Church of England. The church is Grade II listed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as it is a building of special architectural or historic interest.

Bulwell is a market town in the City of Nottingham, in Nottinghamshire, England. It is 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Hucknall and 4.5 miles (7 km) to the north-west of Nottingham. The United Kingdom Census 2011 recorded the population of Bulwell at 29,771 which amounted to over 10 per cent of Nottingham city's population. The 2011 census gave a population of 16,157 for the Bulwell ward of Nottingham City Council. There is an adjacent ward, Bulwell Forest, which includes Highbury Vale, Rise Park and the west of Top Valley), its population at the same census being 13,614.

Bestwood Colliery railway station was a former station on the Great Northern Railway Nottingham to Shirebrook line.

The Old Town Hall is a former municipal building in Bulwell, a town in Nottinghamshire, in England. The building, which is currently used as a furniture showroom on the ground floor and as a concert hall on the first floor, is locally listed.
