The French American International School (French: École Internationale Franco-Américaine) is a French and English language private school in Portland, Oregon, United States. The school was founded by Jean Claude and Maarja Paris in 1979. It has an annual operating budget of over $7 million. Approximately 92 percent of operating revenue is generated by tuition, with other operations and fundraising activities accounting for the remaining 8 percent.A partner school, the German American School, is located in Portland and serves grades K-5. Its graduates may elect to attend middle school at FAIS, in order to receive German-language instruction in language arts and social studies.Community participation is emphasized at the French American International School. In 2012, three high school women who learned French at FAIS assisted with a World War II translation project about "a B-17 crash in the Alps near the French-Italian border." A cookbook by the Families and Friends of The French American International School, Livre de Cuisine : A Compendium of World Recipes, has been favorably reviewed for its use of local food and focus on bringing young people into the kitchen to cook. The school has received Audubon Society certification for "removal of invasive weeds and practicing wildlife stewardship," and a City Commissioner complimented its students for providing "sophisticated ideas and articulate comments" on the 2010 Portland Plan.

The studios and offices are SW 68th Parkway in Tigard. Z100 carries two syndicated shows on weekdays, Johnjay and Rich in morning drive time and Ryan Seacrest in late mornings. Local DJs are heard in the afternoon and evening. The transmitter is located in Portland's West Hills, off NW Skyline Boulevard.

The Willamette Stone was a small stone obelisk originally installed by the Department of Interior in 1885 in the western hills of Portland, Oregon in the United States to mark the intersection and origin of the Willamette meridian and Willamette baseline. It replaced a cedar stake placed by the Surveyor General of the Oregon Territory in 1851; this stake defined the grid system of sections and townships from which all real property in the states of Oregon and Washington has been measured following the Donation Land Claim Act of 1850. The Willamette meridian runs north–south, and the Willamette baseline runs east–west through the marker. The easternmost northeast corner of Washington County is sited on the marker.

Northwest Heights is a neighborhood on the west side of Portland. It is generally regarded as a wealthy neighborhood. The home ownership rate is among the highest in the state, at 83%. The neighborhood has a population of 5,505 as of 2020. It is colloquially known as “Forest Heights”, and was rapidly constructed throughout the 90’s. Mount Calvary Cemetery in the West Hills of Portland, Oregon, United States is a private cemetery owned and maintained by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. It is the second-oldest Catholic cemetery in Multnomah County, and was the third cemetery built in the West Hills.

Oregon College of Art and Craft (OCAC) was a private art college in Portland, Oregon. It granted Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees as well as art-focused certificates. The college offered an Artist-in-Residence program and provided continuing education in the arts to the local community. It was founded by Julia Christiansen Hoffman, a photographer, painter, sculptor, metal worker and weaver, out of her desire to foster the Arts and Crafts movement through classes and exhibitions. The college closed at the end of the spring 2019 semester.

Mitchell Park is a 5-acre (2.0 ha) park in West Haven-Sylvan, Oregon. Features include basketball and tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a playground.
