Wyck (Wick) Rissington is a village and civil parish in the picturesque Cotswold hills of Gloucestershire, England. The village is located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north-east of Bourton-on-the-Water. The name 'Wyck Rissington' translates from the Saxon as "A building of special significance on a hill covered with brushwood".Wyck is one of four Rissington villages along with Great, Little and Upper Rissington.

Little Rissington is a village and civil parish about 3+1⁄2 miles (6 km) south of Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 280.

The River Eye is a short river in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire which flows for 7.6 kilometres (4.7 mi) through the villages of Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter. The river is home to brown trout.

Salmonsbury Meadows (grid reference SP178213) is an 18-hectare (44-acre) biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1985. The site is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 (on line) as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS).The site is owned and managed by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, and is part of its Greystones Farm nature reserve (grid reference SP173209). The reserves lie to the east of Bourton-on-the-Water, which is in the Cotswolds. The site, which includes the Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), was bought in three phases over four years. Salmonsbury Meadows were purchased first in 1999. This was followed in 2000 by the Restoration area, which is a 15.9-hectare (39-acre) area of improved grassland adjacent to the SSSI. The third part acquired in 2002 secured the whole farm. This final acquisition included Salmonsbury Camp (ramparts are visible), which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The nature reserve is a 66-hectare (160-acre) site. The River Eye runs through the meadows and the River Dikler forms the eastern boundary. There is a network of public footpaths and the long-distance Oxfordshire Way crosses the farm.There is fuller history of Greystones Farm, its meadows and Salmonsbury Camp in a publication produced by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. Stow-on-the-Wold railway station was a station on the Great Western Railway's Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway that opened in 1881. Situated about one and a half miles to the south the station served the Gloucestershire town of Stow-on-the-Wold and its surrounding villages. The station passed on to the Western Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948. It was then closed by the British Transport Commission.

Upper Rissington is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England. It is located about two-and-a-half miles east of Bourton-on-the-Water and is one of the highest villages in the Cotswolds at an elevation of 275 m. The village is on the former site of the Central Flying School and the airfield is still the active RAF site of RAF Little Rissington. According to the Gloucestershire Mid-2004 Ward and Parish Population Estimates it had a population of 994. According to the Local Insight Profile it had a population of 1040 in 2014 but this has since grown rapidly due to the new housing. The village is one of the youngest and most dynamic communities in the Cotswolds with 30% of the population under 18 Once famed for its social life in the old ballroom when it housed hundreds of young trainee pilots, the new village is now well known locally for community events such as its firework displays.

Icomb is a village in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, near to Stow on the Wold. The population taken at the 2011 census was 202.The village appears as Iacumbe in the Domesday Book.

Icomb Place (pronounced "Ickum") is a medieval manor house on the edge of the village of Icomb, near Stow on the Wold in Gloucestershire. The word "Place" in this context is thought to be a precursor of the word "Palace".

Bourton Rovers Football Club is a football club based in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, England. Affiliated to the Gloucestershire County Football Association, The club are currently members of the Hellenic Football League and play at Rissington Road. Their nickname is the Rovers.

The River Dikler is a short river in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire which flows for 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) through Upper Swell and to the west of Stow on the Wold. It flows into the River Windrush, a tributary of the River Thames, just to the east of Bourton-on-the-Water.

Bourton-on-the-Water railway station was a Gloucestershire railway station on the Great Western Railway's Banbury and Cheltenham Direct Railway which opened in 1881 and closed in 1964.
