Washburn Preparatory School or Washburn College Preparatory School (1894–1911) was a private preparatory school that was located at 165 Devine Street at the corner of San Pedro Street in San Jose, California.

The Moir Building, was formerly the Straford Hotel, and then in the 1930s named the St. James Hotel. It is a historic building located in downtown San Jose, California, next to the St. James Park. It was built in 1893–1894 and designed by W.D. Van Siclen. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1982. It is one of the last remaining examples of late 19th-century Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival architecture in San Jose.

CreaTV San Jose (abbreviated CRTV) is a nonprofit organization based in San Jose, California, United States, that broadcasts several public-access television channels in San Jose and the surrounding Silicon Valley area. Under federal law, CreaTV receives a share of the gross revenue of local cable franchisees Comcast and AT&T, which amounted to $1.2 million in 2009.

Japantown/Ayer is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. The station is located in San Jose, California on 1st Street just north of Empire Street. This station is served by the Blue and Green lines of the VTA Light Rail system.

The Hensley Historic District, also known as Northside Residential District, is a U.S. historic district and residential neighborhood in San Jose, California. The neighborhood is northeast of downtown and is roughly bounded by East Julian Street, North 1st Street, North 7th Street, and East Empire Street. It is listed as a California Historical Landmark since June 21, 1983; and is listed as one of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) since June 21, 1983.

The Peralta Adobe (Spanish: Adobe Peralta), also known as the Luis María Peralta Adobe or the Gonzales-Peralta Adobe, is the oldest building in San Jose, California. The adobe was built in 1797 by José Manuel Gonzeles, one of the founders of San Jose, and is named after Luis María Peralta, its most famous resident.

Saint James is a light rail station operated by Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority. The station is located in Downtown San Jose, California on 1st and 2nd Streets between Saint James and Saint John Streets. The northbound platform is on 1st Street (the address is 150 N. First Street); the southbound platform is on 2nd Street (the address is 101 N. Second Street). This station is served by the Blue and Green lines of the VTA Light Rail system. The platforms at Saint James station are separated by the western half of the historic St. James Park. Saint James station was renovated in 2006 to permit level entry at all doors.

St. James Park is a 6.8-acre (2.8 ha) park in downtown San Jose, California. Originally laid out as St. James Square in 1848, local newspapers dubbed the site a park in 1885, shortly after a fountain was installed in the center of the area. In 1933, two men who were accused of kidnapping and murdering Brooke Hart were lynched in St. James Park. Since then, a road and light rail tracks have been added, bisecting the park; it is now a popular gathering spot for the homeless population of San Jose.

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral in San Jose, California. It is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real.

The First Unitarian Church of San Jose is located at 160 North Third Street in downtown San Jose, California, across from St. James Park, and was designed in "Richardsonian Romanesque" style by architect George Page, who also designed the Hayes Mansion. Local historian Linda Larson Boston called the building, “One of a handful of American churches patterned after Unitarian churches of Transylvania, it features a large triple-arched stained glass window on the facade, multiple domes and cupolas, and both round and square towers,” in her pamphlet, Highlights of San Jose, California’s St. James Park and Environs. The congregation purchased the site in 1888, and the cornerstone was laid in a ceremony on September 23, 1891. The building is registered on both the list of National Register of Historic Places and the list of California Historical Landmarks.The church is a member of The Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (UUA) and "People Acting in Community Together".

The Mineta Transportation Institute is a research institute focusing on the issues related to intermodal surface transportation in the United States. Although part of San Jose State University's Lucas Graduate School of Business in San Jose, California, the headquarters is located at 210 N 4th Street, San Jose and is currently directed by Karen Philbrick. It is named after its founder Norman Mineta, who was the 14th United States Secretary of Transportation. It was established by Congress in 1991 as part of the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act.

The Hotel De Anza is a historic hotel in San Jose, California. At ten stories, it once was the tallest hotel in the San Jose central business district, prior to the construction of Hilton, Fairmont, and Marriott hotels. Significant for its architectural style, it is one of San Jose's few Zig Zag Moderne (Art Deco) buildings. The hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 1982.
