Santo Stefano Belbo

The Tinella, the principal tributary of the Belbo, is a minor stream of Piedmont in northwestern Italy whose course falls entirely within the Province of Cuneo.

The village itself, together with its castle, stands on a hill surrounded by the vineyards which represent its principal economic activity.

Canelli (Piedmontese: Canèj) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region of Piedmont. As of 31 January 2024 it has a population of 10,022 Canelli is located on a bend of the river Belbo in the Alto Monferrato (High Monferrat), close to the border with the Langhe. The area around the town is rich in vineyards. The area is believed to be the birthplace of the Italian sparkling wine Asti. The village's history of the wine is still evident today with the popular synonym of Muscat Canelli that is still used for the Moscato grape used to produce the wine. The neighbouring comuni are Bubbio, Calamandrana, Calosso, Cassinasco, Loazzolo, Moasca and San Marzano Oliveto in the province of Asti, and Santo Stefano Belbo in the province of Cuneo. On 22 June 2014, Canelli along with Asti Spumante was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Vesime is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 683 and an area of 13.5 square kilometres (5.2 sq mi). Vesime borders the following municipalities: Castino, Cessole, Cossano Belbo, Perletto, Roccaverano, Rocchetta Belbo, and San Giorgio Scarampi.

Cassinasco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Asti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 639 and an area of 11.7 square kilometres (4.5 sq mi). Cassinasco borders the following municipalities: Bubbio, Calamandrana, Canelli, Monastero Bormida, Rocchetta Palafea, and Sessame.

San Marzano Oliveto is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Asti in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Turin and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Asti. San Marzano Oliveto is located in a panoramic position 300 metres (980 ft) above sea level. It is easily visible from the SS6 road that runs from Canelli to Asti.
