Novello is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region of Piedmont. It is located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) southeast of Turin and 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 968 and covered an area of 11.6 square kilometres (4.5 sq mi). Novello shares borders with the following municipalities: Barolo, Lequio Tanaro, Monchiero, Monforte d'Alba, and Narzole.

Azienda Agricola Conterno Fantino is an Italian wine producer from the Piemonte region in the district of Langhe. The winery is located in Monforte d'Alba and was established as partnership between Guido Fantino and the brothers Diego and Claudio Conterno. Proponents of techniques that include short maceration and the use of small French barriques, Conterno Fantino is considered a modernist producer of Barolo.

Aldo Conterno (1931 – May 30, 2012) was an Italian winemaker of eponymous wine producer Poderi Aldo Conterno from the Piemonte region in the district of Langhe, chiefly producing Barolo wines. The winery is located in Monforte d'Alba, and Conterno was widely ranked among Piemonte's foremost producers.

Crutin cheese is made in Langhe.In geology, the Langhian Age of the Miocene Epoch is named for the Langhe region.
