Patumāhoe

Puni is a rural locality in the Franklin ward of Auckland in the North Island of New Zealand. It is predominantly a dairy farming and market gardening area. The main type of crops grown are potatoes, carrots, and onions. Puni is located between the larger towns of Pukekohe and Waiuku.

Kingseat Hospital was a psychiatric hospital that is considered to be one of New Zealand's notorious haunted locations with over one hundred claims of apparitions being reported, as of 2011. It is located in Karaka, New Zealand, south of Auckland. Since 2005 has been used as a site for Spookers. Spookers is believed to be Australasia's only haunted attraction scream park as of 2011, and "the number 1 Haunted Attraction in the Southern Hemisphere". According to stuff.co.nz, Kingseat Hospital is considered one of the most haunted locations in New Zealand.

Wesley College is a secondary school in Paerata, at the northern edge of Pukekohe, Auckland Region, New Zealand. The school provides education from year 9 to 13. The school was founded by members of the Methodist Church in 1844, making it one of the country's oldest schools. Initially located in Grafton and then the Three Kings area of Auckland, it closed in 1868 before reopening in 1876 in Three Kings again. From the beginning there was an emphasis on educating Maori boys, and also played a prominent role in educating students from countries of the South Pacific. In 1924 the school was moved to its current location of Paerata, near Pukekohe. In 1985 it was one of the first boys schools in New Zealand to admit girls at the senior level.

Pukekohe is a town in the Auckland Region of the North Island of New Zealand. Located at the southern edge of the Auckland Region, it is in South Auckland, between the southern shore of the Manukau Harbour and the mouth of the Waikato River. The hills of Pukekohe and nearby Bombay Hills form the natural southern limit of the Auckland region. Pukekohe is located within the political boundaries of the Auckland Council, following the abolition of the Franklin District Council on 1 November 2010. With a population of 27,400 (June 2023), Pukekohe is the 24th largest urban area in New Zealand, and the third largest in the Auckland Region behind Auckland itself and Hibiscus Coast. Pukekohe is a rural service town for the area formerly known as the Franklin District. Its population is mainly of European descent, with significant Māori and ethnic Indian and East Asian communities. There are also a notable number of people of South African and Dutch descent. The fertile volcanic soil and warm moist climate supports a large horticultural and dairy farming industry; the Pukekohe long keeper onion is well known internationally.

Paerata is a small settlement immediately to the north of Pukekohe, in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 22 some 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south of the Manukau Harbour. Wesley College is located close to the northern edge of Paerata. The name Paerata is a Māori term meaning a hill ridge (pae) bedecked with rata trees. Paerata was served by the Paerata railway station for more than a century, until the station was closed. However in early 2021, KiwiRail confirmed a new railway station to be situated in Paerata Rise.Infrastructure New Zealand suggested in October 2017 that the land around Paerata could be used for a new city with initially 30,000 homes, and a population of 500,000 people by 2050.Paerata Rise, a 300-hectare development north of the settlement was opened in 2018 and is still being developed in stages. It is expected to be completed by 2040.

Pukekohe Intermediate School is a New Zealand intermediate school located in the rural community of Pukekohe, Auckland. It primarily receives students from Pukekohe Hill, Pukekohe Valley, Pukekohe East, Puni, Mauku and Patumahoe primary schools.

Bledisloe Park is a cricket and football (soccer) ground in Pukekohe, Auckland, New Zealand. It is named after Charles Bathurst, 1st Viscount Bledisloe.

Pukekohe Hill (known traditionally as Pukekohekohe) is one of the most prominent volcanoes of the South Auckland volcanic field in New Zealand. The shield volcano erupted approximately 550,000 years ago, making it one of the youngest known volcanoes of the field.

Pukekohe Association Football Club is an association football (soccer) club in Pukekohe, New Zealand. Pukekohe AFC currently play in 8 Senior leagues across both Men's and Women's competitions. All teams compete in Auckland Football Federation competitions, except for both Men's and Women's First teams. The Men's First team currently play in an Auckland Football Federation & Northern League Conference competition, and the Women's Premier team compete in the Northern League Women's Premier.

The Franklin Local Board is one of the 21 local boards of the Auckland Council. It is overseen by the Franklin ward councillor.The Franklin Local Board area spans the full width of the North Island, from the Hauraki Gulf to the Manukau Harbour.
