Pukekohe Association Football Club is an association football (soccer) club in Pukekohe, New Zealand. Pukekohe AFC currently play in 8 Senior leagues across both Men's and Women's competitions. All teams compete in Auckland Football Federation competitions, except for both Men's and Women's First teams. The Men's First team currently play in an Auckland Football Federation & Northern League Conference competition, and the Women's Premier team compete in the Northern League Women's Premier.

Pukekohe Park is a horse racing, motor racing, and community events facility located in Pukekohe, New Zealand, approximately 40 km (25 mi) south of the Auckland CBD, in the Auckland Region of the North Island. The venue, owned by Counties Racing Club Inc. is used seven days a week for horse training, driver training, motorsport events, cycling and various events and functions.

Franklin County was one of the counties of New Zealand in the North Island. Franklin County took its name after the existing Parliamentary electorate of Franklin. This had evidently been named in honour of Lady Jane Franklin, the wife of Sir John Franklin, the Arctic explorer. Lady Franklin had visited Robert Maunsell's mission station at the Waikato Heads in 1841.In 1923 Franklin County covered 620 sq mi (1,600 km2) and had a population of 9,730, with 183 mi (295 km) of gravel roads, 252 mi (406 km) of mud roads and 400 mi (640 km) of tracks.

Pukekohe is a town in the Auckland Region of the North Island of New Zealand. Located at the southern edge of the Auckland Region, it is in South Auckland, between the southern shore of the Manukau Harbour and the mouth of the Waikato River. The hills of Pukekohe and nearby Bombay Hills form the natural southern limit of the Auckland region. Pukekohe is located within the political boundaries of the Auckland Council, following the abolition of the Franklin District Council on 1 November 2010. With a population of 27,400 (June 2023), Pukekohe is the 24th largest urban area in New Zealand, and the third largest in the Auckland Region behind Auckland itself and Hibiscus Coast. Pukekohe is a rural service town for the area formerly known as the Franklin District. Its population is mainly of European descent, with significant Māori and ethnic Indian and East Asian communities. There are also a notable number of people of South African and Dutch descent. The fertile volcanic soil and warm moist climate supports a large horticultural and dairy farming industry; the Pukekohe long keeper onion is well known internationally.

Buckland is in the Franklin ward of Auckland Regional Council, on the south-east side of Pukekohe, between Pukekohe and Tuakau, and on the northern boundary of Waikato District. It is part of the Pukekohe urban area.Buckland is probably named after a local land owner. The 2010 publication, Place Names of New Zealand, says that was Alfred Buckland, but in 2017 the Specialist Built Heritage Unit of Auckland Council named William Thorne Buckland.There is a church, opened in 1900, a hall and a primary school. Buckland had a railway station from 1875 to 1969.

Navigation Homes Stadium is a stadium in Pukekohe, New Zealand. Its usual tenants are the Counties Manukau Rugby Union, whose first-class team compete in the National Provincial Championship. In July 2009, Counties Manukau announced that Bayer New Zealand Ltd would be their main sponsor, and that Growers Stadium would be known as Bayer Growers Stadium for sponsorship reasons.Later the main sponsor of the team and stadium became ECOlight, an energy efficient lighting company based in New Zealand, and the stadium became known as ECOlight Stadium. In 2018, the stadium sponsor changed to Navigation Homes, and the stadium was renamed Navigation Homes Stadium.

Buckland railway station was a station on the North Island Main Trunk in New Zealand, serving the Buckland settlement south of Pukekohe. Buckland was initially a flag station, 33 mi (53 km) south of Auckland. The station opened on 20 May 1875, closed to goods on 19 December 1954, and to passengers and all traffic on 2 February 1969. It was only once considered important enough to be included in the annual returns of stations.

The Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre is a Leisure Centre in Pukekohe, New Zealand. It is the home to the Franklin Bulls of the New Zealand National Basketball League, Which is known as "The Stockyard" during their games. On 17 May 2021, The New Zealand Breakers announced that they would play a regular season Australian National Basketball League Game on 28 May 2021 at the venue, as part of their 2021 New Zealand Tour. The Game saw the Illawarra Hawks beat the New Zealand Breakers by 11 points.
