Ulloa (Spanish pronunciation: [uˈʝo.a]) is a district of the Heredia canton, in the Heredia province of Costa Rica.

Tobías Bolaños International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Tobías Bolaños) (IATA: SYQ, ICAO: MRPV) is one of four international airports in Costa Rica, and the secondary airport serving the city of San José, after Juan Santamaría International Airport. It is located in downtown San José, in Pavas District, San José Canton. The airport is named for Costa Rican pilot Tobias Bolaños Palma (1892-1953). The airport has one runway (1566mx23m). It lies at an elevation of 1002 meters AMSL. The airport has no instrument approach procedures and can only accept VFR flights. This airport is the main base for general aviation in the country, as well as most private flight operations, charter flights, tourism. and aviation schools. Several companies offer charter services from this airport: Aerobell, CarmonAir, Prestige Wings,Taxiaereo among others.

Uruca is the seventh district of the San José canton, in the San José province of Costa Rica. It is an important industrial and commercial area of San José. Commonly known as La Uruca, it's the second biggest district by area (after Pavas), and recognized as a heavily congested transportation hub.

El Parque Diversiones Dr. Roberto Ortiz Brenes (English: The Dr. Roberto Ortiz Brenes Amusement Park, also known as Parque Diversiones or “fun park”) is an amusement park located in San José, Costa Rica. The park's motto is "healthy children help sick children". The park was named for Dr. Brenes, whose proposal for a theme park resulted in the park’s creation. His mission was that the profits from the park would go to support the Dr. Carlos Saenz Herrera National Children's Hospital (Hospital Nacional de Niños, San Juan), established in 1964. The amusement park began operating at the end of 1981. Among other attractions, the amusement park has four roller coasters: Bocaraca (completed 2005), a Vekoma Whirlwind-model coaster. Teletren (2002), a children’s coaster. Ciclón (1987), closed and removed at 2006; replaced by Disko in 2007. Ghibli (1984), another children’s roller coaster. Bumeran (2012), a Vekoma Boomerang roller coaster. Colegio Humboldt (German: Humboldt-Schule) is a German international school in Pavas, San José, Costa Rica, serving a student body that includes preschool through Abitur. The German School of Costa Rica was founded in 1912, initially only offering classes in kindergarten and primary school levels. The school closed during the two world wars, but with the support from the local German community in Costa Rica, was able to reopen in 1956 as the "Colegio Humboldt - Schule", and expanded to include secondary school classes in 1975 with the addition of the "Nueva Secundaria". In addition to students with German backgrounds, the student body today includes pupils with backgrounds from other European countries as well as from the United States, and other countries in Latin America, including Colombia and Venezuela. Students generally enter the school at Kindergarten. In addition, the school offers a scholarship program which supports a number of Costa Rican students with high academic performance but no German-related background for entry to the school in the 5th grade.The school is trilingual, with German and Spanish taught first. From the first day of Kindergarten, learning the German language is prioritized, which is a new language for the vast majority of students. This is achieved through language immersion, and teachers communicate with the children during the day's activities exclusively in German. English is first introduced in Grade 5. By the time the students graduate, most of them are fluent in all three languages. The school offers the German high school certificate, the Abitur, in addition to the Costa Rican Bachillerato. Humboldt is known for its wide range of extra-curricular activities, including dozens of after-school clubs, and its sports program and facilities that include an Olympic size swimming pool, a full size track and soccer field. The school also boasts a professional theater, the "Humboldt Auditorium", which opened in August 2018.
