The Mayslake Peabody Estate is an estate constructed as a country home for Francis Stuyvesant Peabody between 1919 and 1922. The estate is located in the western Chicago suburb of Oak Brook, Illinois, United States, and is now part of the Mayslake Forest Preserve administered by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Originally encompassing an area of over 848 acres (3.4 km2), the estate now contains a total area of 87 acres (0.4 km2). The entire complex features the Tudor Revival style Mayslake Hall, its retreat wing, and the Portiuncula Chapel, a replica of the Chapel of St. Francis in Assisi, Italy. Approximately 22 acres (0.1 km2) of wetlands, lakes, restored prairies and two small oak savannas are included within the 87 acre (0.4 km2) territory. On November 8, 1994, Mayslake Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

First Folio Theatre is a not-for-profit theater company affiliated with the Actors' Equity Association. Founded in 1996, First Folio, originally named First Folio Shakespeare Festival, is located on the grounds of the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. First Folio utilizes the "Folio Method" as developed by Patrick Tucker (at one time of the Royal Shakespeare Company), who first introduced his approach to American actors, directors and teachers in a series of workshops sponsored by the Riverside Shakespeare Company of New York City at The Shakespeare Center beginning in 1982, which led to an awakened interest in the First Folio.The Folio Method employs the text of William Shakespeare's First Folio to illuminate the textual clues for the actors and the audience. First Folio Theatre is listed as a Major Festival in the book Shakespeare Festivals Around the World by Marcus D. Gregio (Editor), 2004. The theatre's last season took place in 2022-2023, following the COVID-19 pandemic and the retirement of the founding executive director, after a 25 year run.

The Henry C. Middaugh House was a historic residence in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. The Queen Anne residence was built on the north side of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad railroad station before Clarendon Hills was even platted. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. However, a Catholic church purchased the property in 2002 so that it could expand, and the house was demolished shortly thereafter.

Butler School is a historic building in Oak Brook, Illinois. Frank Osgood Butler donated the land for the two-room schoolhouse in the late 1910s. The building became a meeting place for locals, and hosted the first club to use the term "Oak Brook" to refer to the surrounding settlement. The former school was briefly used as the village hall, police station, and library, until new buildings were constructed for those purposes in the 1970s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Clarendon Hills is a station on Metra's BNSF Line in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. The station is 18.3 rail miles (29.5 km) from Chicago Union Station, the east end of Metra service on this line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Clarendon Hills is in zone D. As of 2018, Clarendon Hills is the 66th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 799 weekday boardings.The inbound station building (south of the tracks) was staffed until June 11, 2018. It later was replaced with an unmanned building. Groundbreaking was on Jan 6, 2020; ribbon-cutting was on Nov 7, 2022. The outbound side has only two small covered shelters, one of which also provides bicycle racks and the other is a weather-protected warming center. Clarendon Hills' central business district is directly southwest of the station.

WMVP (1000 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Chicago, Illinois, carrying a sports format. Owned by Good Karma Brands, the station serves the Chicago metro area as the market affiliate of ESPN Radio, the flagship station of the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and the Chicago Wolves (the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes) and is the home of local personalities David Kaplan, Tom Waddle and John Jurkovic. Formerly an ESPN Radio owned-and-operated station, WMVP's studios are co-located with WLS-TV in the Chicago Loop while the transmitter is located in Downers Grove. In addition to a standard analog transmission, WMVP is simulcast over the second HD subchannel of WSHE-FM and is available online. From 1926 to 1987, 1000 AM was WCFL, the radio voice of the Chicago Federation of Labor. WMVP is a Class A radio station, broadcasting at 50,000 watts, the maximum power for commercial AM stations. It shares 1000 AM, a clear channel frequency, with KNWN in Seattle and XEOY in Mexico City. WMVP uses a directional antenna to avoid interfering with those other stations. WMVP's powerful nighttime signal allows it to be heard by listeners around the Midwestern United States and Central Canada.

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a museum dedicated to the lapidary arts with displays of gemstones, jewelry and bejeweled objects, and exhibits on earth science. The museum was founded in Elmhurst, Illinois, United States, in 1962, but moved to Oak Brook, Illinois in 2019.
