Clarendon Hills is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 8,702 at the 2020 census. It is a south-west suburb of Chicago.

First Folio Theatre is a not-for-profit theater company affiliated with the Actors' Equity Association. Founded in 1996, First Folio, originally named First Folio Shakespeare Festival, is located on the grounds of the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. First Folio utilizes the "Folio Method" as developed by Patrick Tucker (at one time of the Royal Shakespeare Company), who first introduced his approach to American actors, directors and teachers in a series of workshops sponsored by the Riverside Shakespeare Company of New York City at The Shakespeare Center beginning in 1982, which led to an awakened interest in the First Folio.The Folio Method employs the text of William Shakespeare's First Folio to illuminate the textual clues for the actors and the audience. First Folio Theatre is listed as a Major Festival in the book Shakespeare Festivals Around the World by Marcus D. Gregio (Editor), 2004. The theatre's last season took place in 2022-2023, following the COVID-19 pandemic and the retirement of the founding executive director, after a 25 year run.

The Henry C. Middaugh House was a historic residence in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. The Queen Anne residence was built on the north side of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad railroad station before Clarendon Hills was even platted. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. However, a Catholic church purchased the property in 2002 so that it could expand, and the house was demolished shortly thereafter.

West Hinsdale is one of three stations on Metra's BNSF Line in Hinsdale, Illinois. The station is 17.8 miles (28.6 km) from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. It is closed on weekends and holidays. In Metra's zone-based fare system, West Hinsdale is in zone D. The station is immediately adjacent to Stough Park in Hinsdale and is located 0.5 miles from downtown Clarendon Hills, Illinois.

The Clarendon Hills Historical Society is a volunteer-run organization in Clarendon Hills, Illinois tasked with retaining the town's history and establishing a community center for town residents to use as a gather place, as well as a museum to display prominent artifacts pertaining to the history of the village.

The Country House is a restaurant located at 241 W. 55th St. in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. It is known for casual dining, long-standing history, and the “Best Burger” of 2016 as voted by West Suburban Living’s yearly “Best of the West”.

TWA Flight 529 was a Lockheed Constellation L-049 propliner, registration N86511, operating as a scheduled passenger service from Boston, Massachusetts to San Francisco, California. On September 1, 1961, at 02:05 CDT, the flight crashed shortly after takeoff from Midway Airport (ICAO: KMDW) in Chicago, killing all 73 passengers and five crew on board; it was at the time the deadliest single plane disaster in U.S. history.The accident was investigated by the Civil Aeronautics Board, which concluded its probable cause was the loss of a 5/16 inch bolt which fell out of the elevator control mechanism during the climb from Chicago, resulting in an abrupt pitch up followed by a stall and crash.

The William L. Gregg House is a historic Victorian building in the Second Empire style located in Westmont, Illinois.

Immanuel Hall, previously known as Immanuel Evangelical Church, is a historic Late Gothic Revival church in the Carpenter Gothic style located in Hinsdale, Illinois. It was constructed in 1900 by Lutheran German immigrants for three thousand dollars. Services in the one-story building were conducted in the German language until the 1930s, when the church became affiliated with the Evangelical and Reformed Church and began services in English. The congregation moved to a new building in Burr Ridge, Illinois, in 1964. The former church in Hinsdale was then used as an office for the United Church of Christ. The church grounds were sold in 1982, and the building operated as a Montessori method preschool. In 1999, the building was again sold, and targeted for demolition by the new owners. A deal was brokered between the owners and the Hinsdale Historical Society to preserve the main church building. The remaining building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in early 2001. The building was restored from 2007 to 2008, and is now used for public events.

Hinsdale Central High School, or HCHS (locally referred to as simply "Central") is a public four-year high school located at the corner of W. 55th St. and S. Grant St. in Hinsdale, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. Founded in 1879, the school is well known for its large spending per student, academic excellence, and athletic programs. It is part of Hinsdale Township High School District No. 86, which also includes Hinsdale South High School. The school is 17 miles west of Chicago and serves a suburban residential area of approximately 35,000 people. The Central campus draws its students from all of the village of Hinsdale, majority of Clarendon Hills and Oak Brook, and small parts of Burr Ridge, Darien, Willowbrook and Westmont.The official name of the school is Hinsdale Township High School Central, often abbreviated Hinsdale TWP HS Central. This name is derived from the school's original name: Hinsdale Township High School (HTHS). "Central" was added to the original name when Hinsdale South High School opened in 1965.

There is a staffed station building across the street from the Westmont Village Hall. The station house is diagonally across from the Village Hall at West Quincy and South Lincoln Streets.
