Randall High School

KARX (107.1 FM), branded as "107.1 Nash Icon", is a radio station serving the Amarillo, Texas, area with a country music format. This station broadcasts on FM frequency 107.1 MHz and is under ownership of Cumulus Media. Its studios are located at the Amarillo Building downtown on Polk Street, and its transmitter tower is based midway between Amarillo and Canyon proper along I-27 in unincorporated Randall County. The station is an affiliate of the Dallas Cowboys radio network.On January 15, 2018, the then-KPUR-FM switched formats with KARX and changed its name from "107.1 The Armadillo" to "107.1 Nash Icon". The stations swapped call signs on January 24, 2018, with KPUR-FM picking up the KARX call sign.

Zita is an unincorporated community in Randall County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. Zita was a station on the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway near the intersection of Farm roads 335 and 1541, ten miles northeast of Canyon in northern Randall County. During the early 1900s a rural community grew with the establishment of a school three miles south of the railroad switch. A post office was opened on July 23, 1907, but was discontinued five years later. Doubling as the community center, the school remained in operation until the consolidation of the Canyon Independent School District. Subsequently, the building was demolished, and with the recent growth of south Amarillo the community has gradually faded away. The records of the old Zita school are stored in the archives of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.

Rockwell Place is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Randall County, Texas, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.It is north of the center of the county, on the east side of Interstate 27. It is bordered to the south by Canyon, the county seat. Amarillo is 14 miles (23 km) to the north.

Westgate Mall is an indoor shopping mall located in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It has over 100 mainline stores and 3 anchor stores, two Dillard's locations, with the men's store originally a Mervyn's and the women’s store originally a Sears, JCPenney, with 1 vacant anchor last occupied by the former Dillard’s. The mall opened in October 1982 and cost $40 million to construct. It is located along Interstate 40.On December 28, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 80 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2019.The mall is partially in Potter County, Texas and partially in Randall County, Texas. The county line goes through the JCPenney store.

KBZD (99.7 FM) known as "Radio By Grace" is a contemporary Christian formatted radio station in Amarillo, Texas, United States. Its studios are located on Plains Boulevard (in the former Homeland grocery store) in west Amarillo and its transmitter is in unincorporated Randall County.

Western Crossing, formerly known as Western Plaza, is a shopping mall in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It opened in 1968 with a construction cost of approximately US$13 million. Western Plaza was once a main shopping point in Amarillo, but from the 1980s to 2000s has suffered stores leaving its complex. It is demolished and a new shopping center is being built. The Western Crossings shopping center is estimated to cost US$40 million.

It is one of four high schools in the Amarillo Independent School District located in southern Potter County. The school was opened in 1958. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

The Amarillo Botanical Gardens (4.4 acres) includes botanical gardens and Mary E. Bivins Tropical conservatory. The gardens are located in Medical Center Park at 1400 Streit Drive, Amarillo, Texas. The gardens were established on November 17, 1968, after a number of years of fundraising.

Soncy was an unincorporated community in Potter County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is now largely within the city limits of Amarillo. Soncy joins St. Francis Boulevard, which runs east to west in the northern section of town, with Hollywood Road routing west to east in the southern section of town. Soncy is a main thoroughfare in the west and intersects the belt road in Amarillo. The town is geographically located between Interstate 40 and the former U.S. Route 66 in the Texas Panhandle. In the early 1930s, the United States Bureau of Mines and United States Department of War constructed an industrial gas extraction plant known as the Amarillo Helium Plant within the vicinity of Soncy, Texas.

The Amarillo Globe Dream House is a historic house in Amarillo, Texas. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 8, 1997. The house also became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 2008.
