Randall High School is a public high school located in the city limits of Amarillo, Texas (US). It is part of the Canyon Independent School District located in north central Randall County and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Rockwell Place is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Randall County, Texas, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.It is north of the center of the county, on the east side of Interstate 27. It is bordered to the south by Canyon, the county seat. Amarillo is 14 miles (23 km) to the north.

Canyon Independent School District is a school district that serves the Canyon and Amarillo area in Randall County of the Texas Panhandle. The district covers a large area, which encompasses 732 square miles. The north end of the district has nine campuses in south Amarillo, with five in Canyon and one campus located between the two cities. In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.In 2018, the district was recognized for innovation as a Google Reference District.

Zita is an unincorporated community in Randall County, located in the U.S. state of Texas. Zita was a station on the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railway near the intersection of Farm roads 335 and 1541, ten miles northeast of Canyon in northern Randall County. During the early 1900s a rural community grew with the establishment of a school three miles south of the railroad switch. A post office was opened on July 23, 1907, but was discontinued five years later. Doubling as the community center, the school remained in operation until the consolidation of the Canyon Independent School District. Subsequently, the building was demolished, and with the recent growth of south Amarillo the community has gradually faded away. The records of the old Zita school are stored in the archives of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.

Happy State Bank Stadium, formerly known as Kimbrough Memorial Stadium, is a stadium in Canyon, Texas. It is owned by Canyon Independent School District and is primarily used for American football. It is the home stadium for Canyon High School, Randall High School, and West Plains High School of Canyon Independent School District, and is the former home of West Texas A&M University. The stadium holds 20,000 people and was built in 1959.

Tierra Blanca Creek is an ephemeral stream about 75 mi (121 km) long, heading in Curry County, New Mexico, flowing east-northeast across northern portions of the Llano Estacado to join Palo Duro Creek to form the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River southeast of Amarillo, Texas. Overall, Tierra Blanca Creek descends 1,050 ft (320 m) from its headwaters in Eastern New Mexico to its confluence with Palo Duro Creek at the head of Palo Duro Canyon. The creek's water levels are variable, and it is not unusual for some parts of the creek to be reduced to a small trickle or dry completely during frequent periods of drought in the semi-arid plateau of the northwestern Texas Panhandle. At the same time, as the sole creek bed draining a large region with frequent violent thunderstorms, it is also the site of significant occasional Flash floods. Its diminishing flow has been attributed to damming and agricultural pumping of the Ogallala Aquifer. Tierra Blanca Creek was historically significant as the major running water source for the XIT Ranch, one of the largest cattle ranches in American history. It also contributed to the formation of Palo Duro Canyon, the second largest canyon in the United States.

Canyon is a city in, and the county seat of, Randall County, Texas, United States. The population was 14,836 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Amarillo, Texas, metropolitan statistical area. Canyon is the home of West Texas A&M University and Panhandle–Plains Historical Museum, and the outdoor musical drama Texas.

KBZD (99.7 FM) known as "Radio By Grace" is a contemporary Christian formatted radio station in Amarillo, Texas, United States. Its studios are located on Plains Boulevard (in the former Homeland grocery store) in west Amarillo and its transmitter is in unincorporated Randall County.

KWTS, 91.1 FM, is a college radio station in Canyon, Texas, United States, and is owned and operated by the West Texas A&M University. Its studios are located on campus at the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex, and its transmitter is located near Buffalo Sports Park, also on campus. KWTS started broadcasting in 1972 with 10 watts—just enough to cover the university's campus. In 1982, the Federal Communications Commission ordered all educational radio stations to increase power. Later that year, the station's power increased to 100 watts and broadcast in stereo. The station now broadcasts across nine different counties in the Texas Panhandle, as well as being available over the Internet.The station has continuously aired special shows, both music and talk shows, ranging from classical to contemporary music of varying genres. Talk shows have varied in topic from gaming and sports to relationships. The station moved to the new Sybil B. Harrington fine arts complex in August 2006, but did not go live on the air until September 11, the birthday of the station. On September 30, 2010, WTAMU opened up the AT&T High Definition Studio, which will be used by broadcasting students. On November 8, KWTS broke in the new studio with its "ONE Sessions at the Live Lounge" program, a live show which featured local music.On April 11, 2022, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, KWTS announced it will change its format to all 1990s music on October 1.

Wilder Park is home to West Texas A&M baseball. The field is made entirely of astroturf and the home dugout is directly connected to the team clubhouse which has a coach's office, laundry facility, and a team meeting locker room. The facility was named in honor of David and Myrt Wilder of Plainview, Texas, who donated $200,000 for the facility to be built.

Westgate Mall is an indoor shopping mall located in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It has over 100 mainline stores and 3 anchor stores, two Dillard's locations, with the men's store originally a Mervyn's and the women’s store originally a Sears, JCPenney, with 1 vacant anchor last occupied by the former Dillard’s. The mall opened in October 1982 and cost $40 million to construct. It is located along Interstate 40.On December 28, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 80 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2019.The mall is partially in Potter County, Texas and partially in Randall County, Texas. The county line goes through the JCPenney store.
