Westgate Mall is an indoor shopping mall located in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It has over 100 mainline stores and 3 anchor stores, two Dillard's locations, with the men's store originally a Mervyn's and the women’s store originally a Sears, JCPenney, with 1 vacant anchor last occupied by the former Dillard’s. The mall opened in October 1982 and cost $40 million to construct. It is located along Interstate 40.On December 28, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 80 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2019.The mall is partially in Potter County, Texas and partially in Randall County, Texas. The county line goes through the JCPenney store.

The station is currently owned by Christian Ministries of the Valley, Inc.On April 17, 2017, KZIP changed their format to regional Mexican, branded as "La Caliente" (format moved from KQFX 104.3 Borger, which began stunting).

KPRF (98.7 FM, "The Bomb") is a commercial classic hits radio station located in Amarillo, Texas. Its studios are located on Southwest 34th Avenue in Southwest Amarillo, and its transmitter tower is based west of the city in unincorporated Potter County, a mile west of Cadillac Ranch. This station used to be longtime Top 40/CHR station under the moniker as "Power 98 FM". KPRF's format change took effect March 2007. On June 28, 2017, KPRF dropped the "Jack FM" format and began stunting with a unique format, playing a variety of songs entitled "Pay It and Play It" (claiming listeners could pay to request the songs played, yet intentionally never giving the number to call and request.) On June 29, 2017, KPRF ended stunting and launched a classic rock format, branded as "Lonestar 98.7". On August 29, 2019, KPRF rebranded as "Thunder 98.7".On March 31, 2021, KPRF flipped to classic hits, branded as "98.7 The Bomb".

The Amarillo Botanical Gardens (4.4 acres) includes botanical gardens and Mary E. Bivins Tropical conservatory. The gardens are located in Medical Center Park at 1400 Streit Drive, Amarillo, Texas. The gardens were established on November 17, 1968, after a number of years of fundraising.

Don Harrington Discovery Center is a nonprofit interactive science center and planetarium in Amarillo, Texas, U.S. The Discovery Center is located in the city's hospital district and is named after philanthropist Don Harrington.Located in front of the Discovery Center is the Helium Centennial Time Columns Monument. The planetarium was renovated in 2003 and was implemented with the Digistar 3, fulldome video projection technology.Most of the Discovery Center's income comes from admission fees, membership fees, special events and programs, while the rest comes from event and exhibit sponsorships and grants from charitable organizations such as Amarillo Area Foundation and the Harrington Foundation. The Don Harrington Discovery Center is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that largely relies on the support of its community. The Discovery center is a member of the Association of Children's Museums Reciprocal Program and Association of Science-Technology Centers Passport Program, allowing members to receive free or reduced admission at various museums all across America.

Amarillo High School is a school located in the city of Amarillo, Texas, United States and is one of four high schools in the Amarillo Independent School District and classified as a 5A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Cadillac Ranch is a public art installation and sculpture in Amarillo, Texas, US. It was created in 1974 by Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez and Doug Michels, who were a part of the art group Ant Farm. The installation consists of ten Cadillacs (1949–1963) buried nose-first in the ground. Installed in 1974, the cars were either older running, used or junk cars – together spanning the successive generations of the car line – and the defining evolution of their tailfins. The cars are inclined at the same angle as the pyramids of Giza.

Western Crossing, formerly known as Western Plaza, is a shopping mall in Amarillo, Texas, United States. It opened in 1968 with a construction cost of approximately US$13 million. Western Plaza was once a main shopping point in Amarillo, but from the 1980s to 2000s has suffered stores leaving its complex. It is demolished and a new shopping center is being built. The Western Crossings shopping center is estimated to cost US$40 million.

The US Route 66-Sixth Street Historic District is a historic district in Amarillo, Texas. The district is centered around the main section of the historic Route 66 in the San Jacinto Heights district of the city, which includes the Amarillo Natatorium. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 23, 1994.
