Escorca

Puig de Massanella is the second highest peak on the Spanish island of Mallorca. It is situated in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. It is the highest peak on the island whose summit is accessible, as its higher neighbour Puig Major has a military-run antenna complex on the summit. It is a very popular mountain to climb. There is a walking route to the summit from the south, various scrambling routes from a high col to the north, marked with small cairns and red dots painted on rocks, and an easy scrambling route which starts slightly lower down on the south west side of the col. The summit is unusual in having a deep pit which appears to have been formed by limestone dissolution (see Karst) which was said to have been used for storing snow in the past. There are several ruins on a col near the summit which used to be snow houses (see Ice_house_(building)).

Gorg Blau is an artificial reservoir on the island of Majorca of the Balearic Islands, located in the valley between Puig Major and Puig de Massanella. Since 1971, it has been used a drinking water source for the city of Palma and the surrounding areas, along with the neighboring Cúber reservoir. The creek that runs through the Gorg Blau reservoir is known as Torrent del Gorg Blau or Sa Fosca, and is a tributary of the Torrent de Pareis. It was declared a natural monument by the Balearic Islands Government in 2003, and is located within the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage Site.

The Santuari de Lluc is a monastery and pilgrimage site located in the municipality of Escorca in north-west Majorca. It is located in a basin on a height of 525 metres and is surrounded by a number of high mountains such as the Puig de Massanella. The sanctuary was founded in the 13th century after a Moorish shepherd found a statue of the Virgin Mary on the site where the monastery was later erected. Lluc is considered to be the most important pilgrimage site on Majorca. It is also known for its boys' choir, Els Blauets (a name derived from the blue cassocks worn by the boys), which was founded in 1531; the choir holds regular concerts and has gained international fame. A boarding school and numerous tourist-orientated facilities are to be found in the town. Today, the cells of former monks are leased to visitors. As it is located centrally in the Serra de Tramuntana the monastery is often used as a starting point for walking-tours. Each year, on the first weekend in August, there is a night walk from Palma to the sanctuary. The walk commences at 23:00 hours, leaving from the capital's Plaça Güell. Behind the monastery buildings is a botanical garden trail, containing a small exposition on preserving the environment of the Majorcan mountain region.

Puig Major is the highest peak on the Spanish island of Majorca. With an elevation of 1,436 m (4,711 ft) above sea level. It is situated in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. As the mountain is located in a military zone, the neighbouring peak Puig de Massanella (1,364 m) is considered the highest accessible summit on the island. The nearest town and municipality to Puig Major is Sóller, a village near the north west coast of Majorca.

Sa Calobra is a small village in the Escorca municipality on the northwest coast of the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. The port village is a popular destination for coach trips and road cyclists. It is accessed by a single winding road, designed by Italian-Spanish engineer Antonio Parietti and opened in 1933, which features many hairpin bends and a 270° spiral bridge called the tie knot. The climb is officially called the Coll del Reis or the Coll de Cal Reis, the pass on 682 metres (2,238 ft) altitude, though it is often referred to by the name of the village at its base and was built and is considered to be "as close as one could get to a perfect road for motorsport". Unconventionally the road was engineered with tourists in mind.

Cúber is an artificial water reservoir located at the valleys of Puig Major and Morro de Cúber, on the island of Mallorca, Spain. With the Gorg Blau, they provide water to the city of Palma de Mallorca and the surrounding areas by the Almandrà torrent. Cúber receives its name by the "possessió" near the reservoir: el Morro de Cúber. There is a refuge with a maximum capacity of 6 people with light proportioned by solar panels, a chimney and a table, but there aren't any beds in the refuge.

Mancor de la Vall (Catalan: [mənˈkɔ ðə lə vaʎ]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It had a population of 1321 people by 2013.

Cala Tuent is on Majorca, Spain's largest island, located in the Mediterranean Sea and part of the Balearic Islands archipelago. The beach has a length of 180 meters, the middle width amounts to 55 meters. Flints, stones and small sand surfaces alternate. By the elongated water surface of the sea cut a moderate undulation exists within the bay. The water quality is excellent. Outside of the marked swimming surface there are colder, partially strong currents. The bay is not supervised by rescue floats. Boat traffic is minimal. There are some few houses located on the relatively steep hillsides enclosing the bay. The hills are mostly overgrown with pine trees where olive trees are located behind the beach.

Puig de Sant Miquel is a 661-metre (2,169 ft) mountain in the Serra de Tramuntana of Majorca. It is included in the municipality of Alaró of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. The Puig de Sant Miquel is located between s'Alcadena and the Finca Solleric, near the old path to Orient.

Selva (Catalan: [ˈsəlvə]; locally [ˈsəwvə]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. The population is just over 4,000 people.

Lloseta (Catalan: [ʎo'zətə]; locally [ʎo'zɛtə]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain.There is a theatre which showcases alternative music and traditional acts. Olympic cyclist Miguel Martorell was born here.

Raiguer (Catalan: [rəjˈɣe]) is a comarca (county) located in the north-central part of Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands of Spain. It runs parallel to the Serra de Tramuntana district from the town of Marratxí to the town of Sa Pobla. Like the rest of the Majorcan districts, it is only recognized at a geographic level.
