Búger

Campanet is a town situated in the northeast of Majorca, Spain, close to Búger, Selva, Escorca, Sa Pobla, and Inca. The population recently reached 2719 inhabitants in 2022. This town is particularly known for its caves and the Fonts Ufanes.

Fonts Ufanes is an intermittent spring located near the Sant Miquel hermitage, in Campanet municipality of the north of Majorca. The underground water flows from the mountains (Puig Tomir) to Sant Miquel stream, which l'Albufera is the base level. This spring is the main source of water of l'Albufera, an important natural reserve of the Balearic Islands.

Inca is known for its wine cellars. The town, like its neighboring municipality Binissalem, was a mass producer of wine from the 17th to 19th centuries when phylloxera destroyed the industry and its inhabitants turned to other activities such as tanning and leather craftsmanship. Many old wine cellars are being used as restaurants for serving traditional Mallorcan dishes like sopes mallorquines, tombet and gató d'ametlles.

Selva (Catalan: [ˈsəlvə]; locally [ˈsəwvə]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. The population is just over 4,000 people.

Raiguer (Catalan: [rəjˈɣe]) is a comarca (county) located in the north-central part of Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands of Spain. It runs parallel to the Serra de Tramuntana district from the town of Marratxí to the town of Sa Pobla. Like the rest of the Majorcan districts, it is only recognized at a geographic level. Costitx (in Spanish, Costich) is a small municipality on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. The Observatorio Astronómico de Mallorca is situated just south of Costitx.

Mancor de la Vall (Catalan: [mənˈkɔ ðə lə vaʎ]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain. It had a population of 1321 people by 2013.

The Astronomical Observatory of Mallorca (Spanish: Observatorio Astronómico de Mallorca, OAM) is an observatory just south of Costitx, Mallorca, Spain.The observatory was inaugurated in May 1991 and was the first astronomical center in the Balearic Islands autonomous community and province of Spain.The observatory is a pioneer among Spanish observatories and uses robotic telescopes (four of them located at La Sagra in Andalucia) to discover and track asteroids.Researchers at the OAM have found asteroids that are potential threats to Earth, such as the 2006 WH1. Salvador Sánchez is director of the OAM. In 2008, asteroid number 128036, discovered at the OAM in 2003, was named after Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal. As of 2008, the OAM tracks more than 2,000 asteroids.There is a large planetarium attached to the observatory, which often runs performances open to the public. The Open University is one of a number of academic institutions which runs summer schools at the observatory.In March 2017, the observatory has closed and gone into liquidation. The land will be up for auction at €1.7 million.

Lloseta (Catalan: [ʎo'zətə]; locally [ʎo'zɛtə]) is a small municipality in the district of Raiguer on Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands, Spain.There is a theatre which showcases alternative music and traditional acts. Olympic cyclist Miguel Martorell was born here.
