Stelzenberg is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany.

Hohenecken Castle (German: Burg Hohenecken) (MHG: buorch hônecke) is the ruin of a spur castle from the Hohenstaufen era on the Schlossberg hill above the Kaiserslautern ward of Hohenecken in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located at an elevation of 363 m above sea level (NN).

Technical University of Kaiserslautern (German: Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, also known as TU Kaiserslautern or TUK) was a public research university in Kaiserslautern, Germany. On January 1, 2023, the university was merged with the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau into the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau, or Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) in German. There are numerous institutes around the university, including two Fraunhofer Institutes (IESE and ITWM), the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI SWS), the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the Institute for Composite Materials (IVW) and the Institute for Surface and Thin Film Analysis (IFOS), all of which cooperate closely with the university.TU Kaiserslautern was organized into 12 faculties. Approximately 14,869 students are enrolled at the moment. The TU Kaiserslautern is part of the Software-Cluster along with the Technische Universität Darmstadt, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Saarland University. The Software-Cluster won the German government's Spitzencluster competition, the equivalence to the German Universities Excellence Initiative for clusters.

The German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (German: Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz, DFKI) is one of the world's largest nonprofit contract research institutes for software technology based on artificial intelligence (AI) methods. DFKI was founded in 1988, and has facilities in the German cities of Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken, Lübeck, Oldenburg, Osnabrück, Bremen, Darmstadt and Berlin. DFKI shareholders include Google, Microsoft, SAP and Daimler. The directors are Antonio Krüger (CEO) and Helmut Ditzer (CFO).

The Humberg is a mountain in the south of Kaiserslautern, Germany, that stands on the border of the Palatinate forest. With a height of 425 meters, it is the highest point in the area of Kaiserslautern. At its peak, the Humberg Tower (German: Humbergturm) provides a dramatic view of the area below.

The Palatinate (German: Pfalz; Palatine German: Palz), or the Rhenish Palatinate (Rheinpfalz), is a historical region of Germany. Prior to World War II, it was also referred to as Rhenish Bavaria; as a state of the Holy Roman Empire, it was known as the Lower Palatinate (Unterpfalz), which designated only the western part of the Electorate of the Palatinate (Kurfürstentum Pfalz), as opposed to the Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz). The Waterway trail on the Moosalbe (German: Gewässerwanderweg an der Moosalbe) is one of seven themed walks on the subject of hydrology in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The path runs for over 33 km along the Moosalbe and Hirschalbe streams through the Palatine Forest and has 23 way stations. Documentation by the State Ministry for the Environment and Forests describes the route and gives detailed information on the geology, hydrology und climate of the area.

Kaiserslautern (German pronunciation: [ˌkaɪzɐsˈlaʊtɐn] ; Palatinate German: Lautre) is a town in southwest Germany, located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate at the edge of the Palatinate Forest. The historic centre dates to the 9th century. It is 459 kilometres (285 miles) from Paris, 117 km (73 miles) from Frankfurt am Main, 666 kilometers (414 miles) from Berlin, and 159 km (99 miles) from Luxembourg. Kaiserslautern is home to about 100,000 people. Additionally, approximately 45,000 NATO military personnel are based in the city and its surrounding district (Landkreis Kaiserslautern), contributing approximately US$1 billion annually to the local economy.

The Battle of Kaiserslautern (23 May 1794) saw an army from the Kingdom of Prussia and Electoral Saxony led by Wichard Joachim Heinrich von Möllendorf fall upon a single French Republican division under Jean-Jacques Ambert from the Army of the Moselle. The Prussians tried to surround their outnumbered adversaries but most of the French evaded capture. Nevertheless, Möllendorf's troops inflicted casualties on the French in the ratio of nine-to-one and occupied Kaiserslautern. While the Prussians won this triumph on an unimportant front, the French armies soon began winning decisive victories in Belgium and the Netherlands. The battle occurred during the War of the First Coalition, part of the French Revolutionary Wars. In 1794 Kaiserslautern was part of the Electoral Palatinate but today the city is located in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany about 67 kilometres (42 mi) west of Mannheim. In December 1793, the French drove the soldiers of Habsburg Austria and Prussia from French soil in the Second Battle of Wissembourg and took positions beyond the eastern frontier. That spring the Army of the Moselle sent heavy reinforcements to northeast France, leaving the Rhine front lightly defended by troops under Jean René Moreaux. Taking advantage of French weakness, the main Prussian assault was aimed at Ambert who could only try to save as many of his troops as possible. Also on 23 May an Austro-Prussian army attacked the Army of the Rhine under Claude Ignace François Michaud but was repulsed at the Battle of Schifferstadt. After losing Kaiserslautern, the two French armies withdrew to positions closer to the frontier. Having expended almost the only initiative they displayed in 1794, the Prussians allowed their offensive to sputter to a halt.

Kaiserslautern-Süd is a former Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. On 1 July 2019 it was merged into the Verbandsgemeinde Landstuhl. It was situated in the Palatinate forest, approx. 10 km south of Kaiserslautern, which was the seat of the municipality, but not part of it. The Verbandsgemeinde Kaiserslautern-Süd consisted of the following Ortsgemeinden ("local municipalities"): Krickenbach Linden Queidersbach Schopp Stelzenberg Trippstadt

Located in Kaiserslautern Germany, Kaiserslautern Town Hall (Das Rathaus) is one of the tallest town halls in Germany. The building was put in service in 1968. Kaiserslautern City Hall has 25 stories above ground, of which the three uppermost ones are only used as storage room or for operational devices. The building is 84 meters tall and has four elevators. It is the tallest building in Kaiserslautern and on the 21st floor is a restaurant and public observation deck.
