WGN (720 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Chicago, Illinois, featuring a talk radio format. WGN's studios are in the Chicago Loop, while the transmitter is in Elk Grove Village. WGN also features broadcasts of Chicago Blackhawks hockey and Northwestern University football and basketball. WGN is the only radio station owned by Nexstar Media Group, which primarily owns television stations. From 1924 to 2014, WGN was owned by Tribune Media, which also owned the Chicago Tribune, whose "World's Greatest Newspaper" slogan served as the basis for the WGN call sign. WGN is a clear channel, Class A station, broadcasting with the maximum power of 50,000 watts, and using a non-directional antenna. During daytime hours, near-perfect ground conductivity gives WGN at least secondary coverage to almost two-thirds of Illinois (as far south as Springfield) as well as large slices of Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Iowa. During nighttime skywave hours, with a good radio, it is audible over most of the Eastern and Central United States and Central Canada. The station also streams its programming on its website and supplies podcasts as well. WGN is responsible for the activation of the Chicago metropolitan area Emergency Alert System when hazardous weather alerts, disaster area declarations, and child abductions are issued.

The International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) was a for-profit media arts college in the United States with over ten branches. It was owned by Career Education Corporation. The institution was briefly merged with Sanford-Brown in 2014 before being closed in 2015.

The attraction includes Lego-theme rides, a soft play area, a 4D cinema and a gift shop. Legoland Discovery Center Chicago is owned and operated by British leisure group Merlin Entertainments.

The Streets of Woodfield is a lifestyle center located at I-290 and Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg, Illinois, directly across from Woodfield Mall. McCaffery Interests, a Chicago-based real estate developer, rebuilt the mall into the present-day configuration as a shopping and entertainment mall anchored by Legoland Discovery Center, Restoration Hardware Outlet, and Dick's Sporting Goods. This lifestyle center also features outparcels across the street like Crate & Barrel and Whole Foods Market. There is also a 20-screen AMC Loews Streets of Woodfield 20. The lifestyle center is known throughout the area as a prominent shopping destination.

Enterrium (formerly known as Level 257 then Pac-Man Entertainment) is a contemporary American restaurant and video arcade located at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. The restaurant and entertainment destination was originally inspired by Pac-Man and the name refers to the famous kill screen, which occurs when the player reaches the 256th level of the original Pac-Man game, meaning "the next level of dining and entertainment". It was owned by Bandai Namco Entertainment from 2015 to 2021, which also owns all Pac-Man-related intellectual property. The restaurant celebrated its soft opening on March 2, 2015, and its grand opening in April 2015.In March 2021, the location was sold to National Entertainment Network and was rebranded as the Enterrium.

Woodfield Mall is a shopping mall located in the northwest Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Illinois, United States, at the intersection of Golf Road and Interstate 290. Woodfield Mall is the largest shopping mall in the state of Illinois, the second largest being Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook. It is also one of the largest shopping malls in the United States. The mall is located approximately 27 miles from the Chicago Loop and attracts more than 27 million visitors each year. The mall features 234 stores and is anchored by JCPenney, Macy's (formerly Marshall Field's) and Nordstrom. It also has 7 other restaurants which are Red Robin, Uncle Julio's, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Panda Express, The Cheesecake Factory, Kinfork BBQ, and Texas de Brazil. The mall was originally developed by Taubman Centers, which later sold the mall to CalPERS, Miller Capital Advisory, and GM Pension Trusts. Taubman continued to manage the mall until December 31, 2012, when GM Pension Trusts sold its stake in the mall to Simon Property Group, which took over management effective January 1, 2013.

Medinah is an unincorporated community in the state of Illinois and is a northwest suburb of Chicago, located in DuPage County. It is neighbored by the three villages of Roselle, Itasca, and Bloomingdale along old Chicago-Galena highway between Route 19 and 20.

Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg was a for-profit art school in Schaumburg, Illinois. The school was one of a number of Art Institutes, a franchise of for-profit art colleges with many branches in North America, owned and operated by Education Management Corporation. EDMC owned the college from 1999 until 2017, when, facing significant financial problems and declining enrollment, the company sold the Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg, along with 30 other Art Institute schools, to Dream Center Education, a Los Angeles-based Pentecostal organization. Dream Center permanently closed the Schaumburg campus location at the end of 2018.

The Schaumburg Municipal Helistop is a public-use heliport located in and owned by the Village of Schaumburg, Illinois. Established in 1989, Schaumburg was the first Chicago suburb with a public-use heliport.The facility has one landing area, designated H1, whose dimensions are 25 x 25 ft (8 x 8 m). The heliport also has a 12 ft x 25 ft parking area. The landing area is protected by a 100 f 115 ft perimeter.For the 12-month period ending May 31, 2021, the airport has 67 aircraft operations per month, or about 800 per year. It consists entirely of transient general aviation. For that same time period, no aircraft are based at the heliport.The Village of Schaumburg also maintains the Schaumburg Regional Airport, a separate facility capable of handling fixed-wing aircraft and those that cannot take off or land vertically.

The two Waukegan branches will open as First Midwest locations.The company acquired naming rights to the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.In 2021, First Midwest announced a merger with Old National Bank, combining the companies assets, retaining the Old National name and maintaining headquarters in Chicago and Evansville. This was finished in February 2022.

In Metra's zone-based fare system, Medinah is in zone E. As of 2018, Medinah is the 110th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 439 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Medinah is served by 43 trains (21 inbound, 22 outbound) on weekdays, by all 24 trains (12 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Chicago, IL is a Swaminarayan Hindu temple located in the Chicago suburb of Itasca. Opened in 1998, it comes under ISSO of the Nar Narayan Dev Gadi (Swaminarayan Sampraday). It was built at the cost of $10 million, reportedly the most expensive Hindu temple in the Midwest at that time.
