American Baptist College (previously American Baptist Theological Seminary) is a private, Baptist college in Nashville, Tennessee, affiliated with the National Baptist Convention, USA. Founded in 1924, its predecessor in black Baptist education was Roger Williams University, a Nashville college begun in the late-19th century and closed in the early 20th century (its campus is now occupied by Peabody College of Vanderbilt University). Upon full accreditation by the American Association of Bible Colleges, ABTS dropped use of the term "Theological Seminary" and renamed itself American Baptist College. The college has an 82% acceptance rate. In Fall 2019, 77% of students were retained after the first year of attendance.

Jefferson Street is a street in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S., which developed as the historic center of the city's African-American community. Three historically black universities are located near here: Fisk University, Meharry Medical College and Tennessee State University. In the 1940s-1960s, it attracted many rock and roll as well as rhythm and blues artists. It was a center for the Nashville sit-ins in the 1960s, but the construction of Interstate 40 across the street in 1968 led to its economic decline. Since 2013, Lorenzo Washington and his staff at the Jefferson Street Sound, formerly Club Baron, the sole preserved neighborhood club, run walking tours and programs interpreting the music history of the 1940s through 1960s.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places listings in Davidson County, Tennessee (NRHP) in 1980. The business finally closed in 2006. In 2018 the building and site were developed and a restaurant opened in the blacksmith building.

The Tennessee Manufacturing Company is a complex of six historic buildings in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. They were built from 1869 to 1953. The company was founded by Samuel Morgan. The buildings have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 25, 1999.

The Church of the Assumption is a historic church at 1227 7th Ave. North in Nashville, Tennessee. It was built in 1858 using, in part, reclaimed bricks from Nashville's first Catholic Church, Holy Rosary Cathedral. The church served the German immigrants of Nashville and was occupied by Union troops during the Civil War. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Since 2016, the Church of the Assumption has celebrated the Traditional Latin Mass every Sunday, and some other days of the week, in addition to the English post-Vatican II Mass.The Revd S Bede Price was appointed 35th Pastor of the Church of the Assumption in June 2019 and installed by The Most Revd J Mark Spalding on the Feast of the Assumption.On March 3, 2020, the church was struck by a tornado, compromising the building's structural integrity. An extensive, multi-year restoration project subsequently began, not only to repair and reinforce the building, but to re-decorate the Church's interior. The restoration project is still ongoing in 2022.

First Horizon Park, formerly known as First Tennessee Park, is a baseball park in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The home of the Triple-A Nashville Sounds of the International League, it opened on April 17, 2015, and can seat up to 10,000 people. It replaced the Sounds' former home, Herschel Greer Stadium, where the team played from its founding in 1978 through 2014. The park was built on the site of the former Sulphur Dell, a minor league ballpark in use from 1885 to 1963. It is located between Third and Fifth Avenues on the east and west (home plate, the pitcher's mound, and second base are directly in line with Fourth Avenue to the stadium's north and south) and between Junior Gilliam Way and Harrison Street on the north and south. The Nashville skyline can be seen from the stadium to the south. The design of the park incorporates elements of Nashville's baseball and musical heritage and the use of imagery inspired by Sulphur Dell, the city's former baseball players and teams, and country music. Its most distinctive feature is its guitar-shaped scoreboard—a successor to the original guitar scoreboard at Greer Stadium. The ballpark's wide concourse wraps entirely around the stadium and provides views of the field from every location. Though primarily a venue for the Nashville Sounds, collegiate and high school baseball teams based in the area, such as the Vanderbilt Commodores and Belmont Bruins, have played some games at the ballpark. Nashville SC, a soccer team of the United Soccer League Championship, played its home matches at the facility from 2018 to 2019. It has also hosted other events, including celebrity softball games and various food and drink festivals.
