Nou Estadi Costa Daurada is a multi-purpose stadium in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of the Gimnàstic de Tarragona. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 14,591 persons.It hosted opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Mediterranean Games.

Torre dels Escipions (Tower of the Scipios) is a funerary tower built by the Romans on the outskirts of Tarraco, an ancient Roman city that corresponds to the present city of Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain). It is one of the elements of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the tower being identified with the code 875-010.

Camp de Tarragona is a railway station, opened on 19 December 2006, on the Madrid-Barcelona high-speed rail line between Madrid and Barcelona. Located between the municipalities of La Secuita and Perafort, some 8 km north of Tarragona itself, the new station serves an area with an estimated population of over 400,000. The station complex, covering 5.2 hectares, has eight standard-gauge tracks (four platform tracks and four central through tracks), two 400-metre-long island platforms, passenger handling facilities, a travel centre, shops, and parking for 648 vehicles. The high speed railway to the French frontier opened for service in 2013.

University of Rovira i Virgili (Catalan: Universitat Rovira i Virgili; IPA: [uniβəɾsiˈtad ruˈβiɾəj βiɾˈʒili], Spanish: Universidad Rovira y Virgili; URV) is located in the Catalan cities of Tarragona and Reus, Spain. Its name is in honour of Antoni Rovira i Virgili. The University of Rovira I Virgili (URV) is a nationally and internationally recognized teaching and research institution with centers in Tarragona, Reus, Vila-Seca, Tortosa, and El Vendrell. In 2018 and 2019 it was ranked the 78th World's Best Young University with less than 50 years (Times Higher Education World University Rankings). In 2020 it was ranked within the top 200 world's universities by the Times Higher Education 2020 ranking, which recognizes universities for their socials and economic impact based on 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. At Spanish level, in 2017 URV was ranked the 4th in publication production by faculty number, and the 7th with Highly Cited Papers by faculty number. In 2014 URV obtained the HR Excellence in Research award by the EC, renewed in 2017. URV offers doctoral studies distributed in 24 programs and annually welcomes 11400 undergraduate, 1300 master and 1200 PhD students.

Camp de Tarragona (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkam də tərəˈɣonə]) is a natural and historical region and one of the eight vegueries (regions) defined by the Regional Plan of Catalonia. It is the third most populated region, with 536,453 inhabitants as of 2022. The region includes the comarques of Tarragonès, Alt Camp, Baix Camp, Conca de Barberà and Priorat. It borders to the east with Penedès and Central Catalonia, to the north with Ponent and to the west with Terres de l'Ebre. The capital is the city of Tarragona.It is located in the south, and it includes a central plain, surrounded by the Serralada Prelitoral mountain chain on the west and in the north, with the Mediterranean sand beaches of the Costa Daurada on the east and limited in the south by the Coll de Balaguer. The main towns are Tarragona, Reus, Valls and Cambrils. Salou is an important resort destination. The region is regarded as the second metropolitan area of Catalonia, hosting the most important chemical complex in Spain as well as one of the main ports. Among the most distinctive agricultural produce of the region are hazelnuts, olives, wine and fish. It is also one of the major tourist areas in Catalonia, mainly due to the variety of beaches, holiday attractions like the remains of the Roman important past of Tarragona (one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Spain), samples of the Catalan Modernisme style (particularly in Reus, Gaudí's hometown) and PortAventura World (PortAventura Park, the most visited theme park in Spain, Ferrari Land and also the PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park). The area has a common history going back to 1356, with the historical vegueria of Tarragona.

Tarragona is a Spanish Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) (Denominació d'Origen Protegida in Catalan) for Catalan wines, located in the province of Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain) and covers two distinct areas: the Camp de Tarragona and the Ribera d'Ebre comarca (district).

The Provincial Deputation of Tarragona is the governing and administrative body of the Tarragona, belonging to the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The plenum is made up of members elected by an indirect election, which are based on the results in the municipal elections of the province. Since 2019 Noemí Llauradó i Sans has been the president of the Provincial Council of Tarragona. It was established for the first time, in 1822, as a Provincial Council, of which Jacobo Gil de Avalle was president. Later, and in compliance with the Royal Decree of September 25, 1835, the civil governor of the province called elections, and the new provincial constitution was published in the "Official Gazette" of January 26, 1836. It met for first time on March 2 following. Over time, the new Tarragona corporation expanded its powers and developed an ever greater operational capacity. Currently, according to article 91 of the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia of 2006, the town councils will replace the provincial councils. According to the project of the Law on the Vegetation Organization of Catalonia, the Provincial Council of Tarragona should be replaced by the Council of Vegueria del Camp de Tarragona and the Council of the Vegueria of the Terres de l'Ebre.

The Wall of Tarragona (Catalan and Spanish: Muralla de Tarragona) is a wall located in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1884.

The Portal de Sant Antoni is a monumental gate on the wall of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. As attested by an inscription, it was built in 1737, in Baroque style. Over the arch is the coat of arms of King Philip V of Spain, flanked by two lions. Under it, is the coat of arms of Tarragona.

The Cathedral of Tarragona is a Roman Catholic church in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. The edifice is located in a site previously occupied by a Roman temple dating to the time of Tiberius, a Visigothic cathedral, and a Moorish mosque. It was declared a national monument in 1905.

The Archdiocese of Tarragona (Latin, Tarraconensis) is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory located in north-eastern Spain, in the province of Tarragona, part of the autonomous community of Catalonia. The archdiocese heads the ecclesiastical province of Tarragona, having Metropolitan authority over the suffragan dioceses of Girona, Lleida, Solsona, Tortosa, Urgell and Vic.The archdiocese, created in Roman times, was reestablished in 1118.

The Ferreres Aqueduct (Catalan: Aqüeducte de les Ferreres [əkwəˈðuktə ðə ləs fəˈrɛɾəs]), also known as the Pont del Diable ([ˈpɔn(d) dəl diˈabːlə]; English: "Devil's Bridge"), is an ancient bridge, part of one of the Roman aqueducts that supplied water to the ancient city of Tarraco, today Tarragona in Catalonia, Spain. The bridge is located 4 km north of the city and is part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco (listed as a UNESCO's World Heritage Site since 2000).
