St Mary Magdalene was a Benedictine priory in Lincoln, England. Along with Sandtoft Priory and Hanes Cell, it was a Lincolnshire cell of St Mary's Abbey in York, England. A surviving building, once owned by the priory, is Monks' Abbey, Lincoln.

The Lincoln Arboretum is an 22 acres (8.8 ha) park in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The park has two ponds and varied tree cover, and was designed and laid out between 1870 and 1872 by the celebrated Victorian gardener Edward Milner. The arboretum is a park of Grade II importance.

Lincoln County Hospital is a large district general hospital on the eastern edge of north-east Lincoln, England. It is the largest hospital in Lincolnshire, and offers the most comprehensive services, in Lincolnshire. It is managed by the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

Lincoln TMD was a traction maintenance depot located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The depot was situated on the south side of the Lincoln to Grimsby line and was to the east of Lincoln Central station.The depot code is LN.

Lincoln Abbey Ward is one of eleven electoral districts within the city of Lincoln, England. As of 2023, the Liberal Democrats control all three seats in the ward having first taken a seat in the 2021 local elections being the first time a non-Labour Party candidate had won a seat in the ward since 1979. The wards boundaries are divided between two Lincolnshire County Council wards, St. Giles in the north and Park in the south who respectively have elected a Conservative and Labour County Councillor.

HM Prison Lincoln is a Category B men's prison, located in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. A category B prison which allocates convicted prisoners within its catchment area.

St Giles Church, Lincoln is a grade-II listed active parish church in St Giles, a suburb of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. It was built as a replacement for the former St Peter at Arches Church which was demolished in 1930. The church serves as a place of worship and community hub for the surrounding areas. The church was grade II listed in 1953 and also has a church hall for use for the local community as well as the church itself. The church also was named "the church that moved" in reference to its move after the demolition of its predecessor in the city centre.

Lincoln Minster School (Known locally as "LMS" or "The Minster") is an independent co-educational day and boarding school in Lincoln, England. It comprises three schools: the pre-preparatory, preparatory, and senior school. While the school is now open to pupils from the community it continues to educate a small number of the choristers of Lincoln Cathedral, though the formal association with the cathedral was ended by Lincoln Minster School in 2016 and most choristers are now drawn from other local schools. It is a member of the United Church Schools Trust and the Choir Schools' Association.

Canwick Road Old Cemetery also known as The Old Cemetery or Canwick Road Cemetery was built in 1856 near the city of Lincoln in Lincolnshire, England. The cemetery opened in 1856 and with two chapels of ease built by Michael Drury in the Gothic Revival style which was common with most churches in Lincolnshire at the time. It was also Lincoln's first cemetery to be built.

Lincolnshire Archives is the county record office of Lincolnshire, England. It was established as a county service in 1948 by the Lincolnshire Archives Committee, which had been formally constituted on 24 October 1947 with Sir Robert Pattinson as chairman. The Times, surveying the trend towards County Record Offices at the end of 1948, reported Lincolnshire as a "notable recent development": "the three county councils of the shire, the Diocese of Lincoln, the Dean and Chapter, and the city council are combining to convert the austerely beautiful building, the old gaol at Lincoln, into a joint record office for all six." The first County Archivist, Joan Varley, delivered her first annual report in spring 1949. Assistant archivist from 1948 to 1958 was Dorothy Owen; she was succeeded as Varley's deputy by Mary Finch, who would herself become County Archivist in 1982.The service is now part of the Culture department of Lincolnshire County Council and is housed in modern offices in St Rumbold Street, Lincoln.

Lincoln Christ's Hospital School is an English state secondary school with academy status located in Wragby Road in Lincoln. It was established in 1974, taking over the pupils and many of the staff of the older Lincoln Grammar School and Christ's Hospital Girls' High School (established in 1893), and two 20th-century secondary modern schools, St Giles's and Myle Cross.

The Lincoln rail crash occurred on 3 June 1962, when the 22:15 sleeping car express train from King's Cross to Edinburgh derailed on a sharp curve just a short distance east of Lincoln Central railway station. Two passengers and a sleeping car attendant were killed and seven people were seriously injured. The train had been diverted from its usual route because of engineering work on the East Coast Main Line. A conductor driver had taken the controls of the locomotive, an English Electric Type 4, because the regular driver did not know the diversionary route. The conductor driver was not qualified to drive diesel locomotives, but he had done so occasionally before. It was thought that he was used to driving without a speedometer and so had misjudged his speed on the approach to Lincoln, entering a 15 mph curve at around 55 mph. The driver had also evidently been inattentive because the home signal near the curve was not cleared until the train was almost at it, yet it passed the signal at around 60 mph. Most of the coaches were derailed although the locomotive was not; the latter coming to a stand in the middle of Lincoln Central station.
