Margalla Railway Station (Urdu: مارگلہ ریلوے اسٹیشن) (formerly Islamabad Railway Station) is located between Khayaban-i-Jauhar (Sector H-9) and Service Road North (Sector I-9) in Islamabad, Capital Territory, Pakistan. The entrance to the station is from Khayaban-i-Jauhar side.

The National University of Modern Languages (NUMLs) (Urdu: قومی جامعہ جدید زبانیں) is a multi-campus public university with its main campus located in Islamabad, Pakistan and other campuses in different cities of Pakistan.

The Higher Education Commission (colloquially known as HEC) is a statutory body formed by the Government of Pakistan which was established in 2002 under the Chairmanship of Atta-ur-Rahman. Its main functions are funding, overseeing, regulating and accrediting the higher education institutions in the country. It was first established in 1974 as University Grants Commission (UGC), and came into its modern form on 11 September 2002 after Atta-ur-Rahman's reforms, which received international praise. The commission is responsible for formulating higher education policy and quality assurance to meet the international standards as well as providing accrediting academic degrees, development of new institutions and uplift of existing institutions in Pakistan.The commission also facilitated the development of higher educational system in the country with the main purpose of upgrading the universities and degree awarding institutes in the country to be focal point of the high learning of education, research and development. Over several years, it has played an important and leading role towards building a knowledge-based economy in Pakistan by giving out hundreds of doctoral scholarships for education abroad every year.

On 20 October 2009, at least six people, including three women, were killed, and as many as 29 people injured, 25 of them women, in twin suicide attacks at International Islamic University in the Pakistani capital Islamabad. Police said that the blasts at the university were caused by suicide bombers. This was the first-ever attack on students in the country since the start of 21st century terrorism in Pakistan in 2001.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (Urdu: ہلالِ احمر پاکستان), is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical and relief services in Pakistan. The organization was founded on 20 December 1947 after Pakistan's independence by an order called The Pakistan Red Cross Order, issued by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as Governor General of Pakistan. He became the founding president of the Society. It was later renamed the Red Crescent Society or the Red Crescent Order. Its national headquarters are in Islamabad.Pakistan Red Crescent is the largest humanitarian organization in Pakistan and was formed by act of Parliament in 1947. It is working with a mission to become leading humanitarian organization of Pakistan, committed to prevent and alleviate human sufferings by mobilizing the power of humanity through volunteers.

Peshawar Morr Interchange (also known as G-9 interchange) is Pakistan's biggest interchange in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is located at the intersection of Srinagar Highway and the Ninth Avenue, connecting the G and H sectors of Islamabad. Peshawar Morr interchange eased traffic congestion on two main highways of the capital city i.e. Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue. It facilitates traffic to the Islamabad International Airport and to Lahore–Islamabad Motorway and Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway.The total length of the overhead, underground and ramp roads of the interchange is approximately 14 km and it features eight flyovers.The construction of interchange started in May 2014 along with the construction of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus, but took longer to complete than anticipated. It costed almost Rs. 6 billion (60 million USD) to get completed by March 2016.

I-10 is a sector of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is a lightly built area, located on the southwestern edge of the city.I-10 borders Rawalpindi to the south and neighbors I-9 and I-11, while sectors H-9, H-10, and H-11 are located adjacent. Like most other I-sectors, I-10 is primarily a part of the industrial zone. It consists of open land with dense vegetation. It is a densely populated area.

Allama Iqbal Open University is a public university in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The university is the world's fifth largest institution of higher learning, with an annual enrollment of 1,121,038 students (as of 2010), the majority are women and course enrollment of 3,305,948 (2011). Students can gain admission in Matriculation, Intermediate, Bachelor, Master, MPhil and Ph.D. programmes at the university. The university has 44 regional campuses and centers throughout Pakistan including in Faisalabad Millat Road, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

Shifa International Hospital (SIH) is a private hospital located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is listed as SHFA on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.It is a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital with over 550 beds. The hospital performs operation of liver, kidney, and bone marrow transplant. It offers 640 slice CT scan. SIH runs two medical centers in Islamabad and is constructing a full-fledge hospital in Faisalabad.

Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU) is a private university, established in 2012 in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is set up as a nonprofit institution in the private sector.

The International Islamic University, Islamabad, or IIUI, (Arabic: الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية إسلام آباد, Urdu: بین الاقوامی اسلامی یونیورسٹی اسلام آباد) is a public research university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It was established in 1980 and restructured in 1985, and remains a valuable source for Higher Education in Pakistan. The university is regularly listed among the most recognized universities and prestigious degree awarding institutions of Pakistan by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The university ranks joint second in the 2022 top university rankings of Times Higher Education World University Rankings in Pakistan. It also constantly ranks among the best universities in the country for the general category by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

H-8 (Urdu: حلقہ ایچ ۸) is a sector of Islamabad. The sector is bounded by Srinagar Highway and G-8 to the north, Islamabad Expressway and Shakarparian to the east, I-8 to the south, and Ninth Avenue and H-9 to the west. Similar to other H-sectors, H-8 is provided for education and health facilities.
