Shifa College Of Medicine is a private college under Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, established in 1998 in Islamabad.The college offers medical courses. Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University has a hospital named Shifa International Hospital Ltd and four colleges: Shifa College of Medicine, Shifa College of Dentistry, Shifa College of Nursing, and Shifa College of Rehabilitation. H-8 (Urdu: حلقہ ایچ ۸) is a sector of Islamabad. The sector is bounded by Srinagar Highway and G-8 to the north, Islamabad Expressway and Shakarparian to the east, I-8 to the south, and Ninth Avenue and H-9 to the west. Similar to other H-sectors, H-8 is provided for education and health facilities.

Heritage Museum (Urdu: لوک ورثہ عجائب گھر), also known as Lok Virsa Museum is a museum administered and managed by Lok Virsa - National Institute of Folk & Traditional Heritage.It is a museum of history and culture in Islamabad, Pakistan, located on the Shakarparian Hills showcasing the living cultures of Pakistan.The museum opened in 1974 and became an autonomous institute in 2002 following the Lok Virsa Legal Status Ordinance, 2002. The museum consists of several buildings as well as an outdoor museum which can accommodate up to 3000 visitors.

Allama Iqbal Open University is a public university in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is named after Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The university is the world's fifth largest institution of higher learning, with an annual enrollment of 1,121,038 students (as of 2010), the majority are women and course enrollment of 3,305,948 (2011). Students can gain admission in Matriculation, Intermediate, Bachelor, Master, MPhil and Ph.D. programmes at the university. Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), (Urdu: عجائب خانہ جاتِ پاکستان برائے طبعی تواریخ) established in 1976, is a public natural history museum situated in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan.It has exhibits and galleries which display and provide information about the ecology, geology, and paleontology of the country. Currently, the museum houses a collection of over 600,000 objects. The museum also acts as a research center and works closely with the Lok Virsa Museum. The museum is open to public everyday, except for Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm. The museum is managed by the Pakistan Science Foundation, under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Pakistan Red Crescent Society (Urdu: ہلالِ احمر پاکستان), is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical and relief services in Pakistan. The organization was founded on 20 December 1947 after Pakistan's independence by an order called The Pakistan Red Cross Order, issued by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as Governor General of Pakistan. He became the founding president of the Society. It was later renamed the Red Crescent Society or the Red Crescent Order. Its national headquarters are in Islamabad.Pakistan Red Crescent is the largest humanitarian organization in Pakistan and was formed by act of Parliament in 1947. It is working with a mission to become leading humanitarian organization of Pakistan, committed to prevent and alleviate human sufferings by mobilizing the power of humanity through volunteers.

Shakarparian (Urdu: شکر پڑیاں; also known as Shakarparian Hills) is a hill, and a national park located near the Zero Point Interchange in Islamabad, Pakistan. Pakistan Monument and Pakistan Monument Museum are also located in Shakarparian. The old Gakhar tribe leaders settled here before the Indo-Pak partition in 1947; later the clan was relocated to create a park for newly marked federal capital of the country in 1960–61.Shakarparian also has a parade ground which hosts the Pakistan Day Parade every year on 23 March.
