The Japanese Friendship Garden is a walled section of Kelley Park in San Jose, California, United States. Dedicated in October 1965, it is patterned after Japan's famous Korakuen Garden in Okayama (one of San Jose's sister cities) and spans six acres. Its three main ponds were stocked with koi sent from Okayama in 1966. The ponds are at different elevations in the park, and are inter-connected by streams. The park is open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM. There is no admission fee, but the city does charge for parking at Kelley Park.

Sharks Ice San Jose (formerly the Ice Center of San Jose, Logitech Ice Center, and Solar4AmericaIce) is an indoor ice rink in San Jose, California, United States. The largest ice rink facility in the Western United States, Solar4America Ice serves as the official training facility for the NHL San Jose Sharks and the home arena for San Jose State University's Spartans hockey team. The facility opened in 1994 and was expanded in 2000 and 2005. Roofing contractor PetersenDean bought naming rights to the facility in 2016, renaming the facility after its Solar4America solar roofing brand. After PetersenDean's bankruptcy in 2020, the name reverted to Sharks Ice The venue is also used for public skating, public/private skating programs, hockey programs, broomball, curling, speed skating, ice dancing, and more.Remodeled in the summer of 2005, the 180,000 sq ft (17,000 m2) facility features four (4) NHL-sized ice rinks (the Spartans play on the North Rink, which has a listed seating capacity of approximately 550, but is routinely packed with upwards of 1000 fans on game nights), as well as a full-service Pro Shop, a full-service Food Court, and meeting space for up to 500 guests. Additionally, Stanley's Sports Bar & Grill, opened in January 2006, features food, beer, and wine.In 1995, the arena hosted the Women's Pacific Rim Championship ice hockey tournament. A proposed 200,800 sq ft (18,650 m2) expansion would add another two rink surfaces and more than double the size of the facility, but would displace the San Jose Municipal Firing Range. The Viet Museum (Vietnamese: Viện Bảo Tàng Việt Nam) or the Museum of the Boat People & the Republic of Vietnam is a museum focusing on the experience of Vietnamese Americans and their journey from Vietnam to the United States. It is located in Greenwalt House, a historical home relocated to History Park at Kelley Park in San Jose, California, United States, and was opened on August 25, 2007.The museum was created by the San Jose-based nonprofit organization IRCC (Immigrant Resettlement & Cultural Center, Inc.), headed by Vũ Văn Lộc, a former colonel in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. Planning for the Museum began in 1976, taking over 30 years to realize. It is believed to be the only museum in the world to exhibit artifacts related to the Vietnamese diaspora.The Viet Museum's collections focus on three periods: 1950–1975: The Republic of Vietnam and the War in the name of Freedom 1975–1996: The "Boat People" and the quest for Freedom 1975–2007: Vietnamese Americans today and the building of Liberty

Bud Winter Field was the San Jose State University track and field arena, named after former coach Lloyd "Bud" Winter. Out of the athletes Winter coached, 102 were All-Americans, earning the university the nickname "Speed City".Olympians and activists Tommie Smith and John Carlos trained on the track before their famous 1968 Olympics Black Power salute in Mexico City. The field was demolished in 2019. A parking garage has been built on the site.

The Edwin Markham House is a historic home located within San Jose's Kelley Park, at History Park in San Jose, California. It was once the residence of American poet Edwin Markham, who journeyed to California with his mother in 1844. He wrote the poem The Man with the Hoe, while living at the Markham House. The California Historical Landmark #416 plaque is located at 432 South Eighth Street in San Jose, marking the spot where the original home once stood.
