The Palau Foundation (Catalan: Fundació Palau) is an art exhibition centre in the centre of Caldes d'Estrac, in the region of El Maresme (Catalonia). It was opened in May 2003, to exhibit and disseminate the art collection that had been compiled by Josep Palau i Fabre, as well as its archives and library. Of particular importance is its archive and bibliographical collection on Pablo Picasso. The Palau Foundation is part of the Catalan Art Museums Network and 'Espais Escrits', the Catalan Literary Heritage Network.

The Sant Andreu de Llavaneres Archive Museum (Catalan: Museu Arxiu de Sant Andreu de Llavaneres), in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres (Maresme), is located in Can Caralt, an 18th-century farmhouse converted into a manor house in the second half of the 19th century. Can Caralt also houses the municipal archives. The Museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network.

C-32 is a primary highway in Catalonia, Spain. It was created in 2004 by merging three sections of existing autopistas and autovías. This re-organisation was part of a renaming of primary highways managed by the Generalitat de Catalunya. According to this new denomination, the first number (C-32) indicates that is a southwest-northeast highway (parallel to the Mediterranean Sea coastline), while the second number (C-32) indicates that is the second-closest to the Mediterranean Sea. The Barcelona-Mataró's section of the former A-19 (now renamed to C-31 and C-32) was the first autopista ever in Spain (1969).

Sant Andreu de Llavaneres (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsant ənˈdɾew ðə ʎəβəˈneɾəs]) is a municipality located 36 km north of Barcelona (Catalonia) (Spain), along the Mediterranean coast, between Mataró and Sant Vicenç de Montalt. It belongs to the Maresme comarca and the Barcelona province. The short name is simply Llavaneres. Llavaneres faces the sea to the east and a natural park to the west. The village has a mixed agricultural and residential character and has become a popular vacation and summer-residence location for people living in Barcelona over the last forty years. Good connections with Barcelona, the Maresme coast and the Mediterranean axis of France and Spain include a train line to Barcelona, as well as the C-32 highway and the N-2 road. Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is today well known for its upscale sailing in summer.

Arenys de Mar Museum (Catalan: Museu d'Arenys de Mar) is a museum in Arenys de Mar, Spain. It is made up of two different sections: the Marès Lace Museum and the Mollfulleda Mineralogy Museum, and it also conserves and exhibits the collection from the old Arenys de Mar Fidel Fita Municipal Museum.

Arenys de Mar (Catalan pronunciation: [əˈɾɛɲz ðə ˈmaɾ], arenys being Catalan for "sands (of a seasonal creek)", and de mar for "by the sea" as opposed to Arenys de Munt, "sands up hill") is one of the main municipalities of the comarca of Maresme, Barcelona Province, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the coast between Caldes d'Estrac and Canet de Mar, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) northeast of Barcelona. As of 2022, it had a population of 16,155.Arenys' harbour was for many years the only existing port on the north coast of Barcelona. The beaches, framed by hills which run right down to the sea, give a view of the neighbouring Costa Brava.

Arenys de Munt (Catalan pronunciation: [əˈɾɛɲz ðə ˈmun], arenys being Catalan for "sands (of a seasonal creek)", and de munt for "up hill" as opposed to Arenys de Mar, "sands by the sea") is a municipality in the comarca of the Maresme in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated inland from the coast, in the el Corredor range and including the peak of el Montalt (595 m). It retains a textile industry specialised in the production of towels, and is also known for the production of strawberries, cherries and liqueurs. The B-511 road links the town with Arenys de Mar, Vallgorguina and Sant Celoni. It is also the hometown of actor Daniel Brühl.

The Santuari del Corredor (Shrine of the Corredor) is a 16th-century hermitage within the municipality of Dosrius, Spain. The building is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, but takes its name from the Corredor hills in the Natural Park of El Montnegre i el Corredor. It is the annual destination of inhabitants of Canyamars who every May Day go there to celebrate the ending of an Influenza epidemic in the village in the 17th century.

The Pou de Glaç (Ice well) is situated on the outskirts of Canyamars within the municipality of Dosrius, Catalonia, Spain. It was used to store ice transported from the Pyrenees during the winter. This was then made available to the local inhabitants during the summer. The Pou de Glaç was recently bought by the Ayuntamiento de Dosrius.

Hermitage of St. Simon (Ermita de Sant Simó) is a small Spanish parish church located in the east end of the Royal Road, in the faubourg of Havana, in the municipality of Mataró, comarca of Maresme. Dating to 1611, the seaside chapel is well-known along the Catalonia coast. It has a single nave in keeping with ancient seafaring tradition. The Feast Day is 28 October.

Rocafonda is a neighbourhood of the city of Mataró in Catalonia, Spain. Rocafonda was built in the 1960s to accommodate immigration from southern Spanish regions such as Andalusia and Extremadura. While the rest of Mataró had low houses, high tower blocks were built in Rocafonda, producing a high population density. Rapid immigration led to shortages of school places and poor roads and water supply, leading to the formation of an organised neighbourhood group in the 1970s. In the 1990s, Rocafonda's original southern Spanish inhabitants moved to richer neighbourhoods, and foreign migrants moved in due to the low cost of living. In 2023, Rocafonda had a population of 11,664. Of these, 52% were born outside Catalonia, including 37% born abroad. Its percentage of foreign-born residents was 17 and 19 percentage points higher than the figures for Mataró and Spain as a whole, respectively. Of the foreign population, 58% are from Morocco. Around half of the Rocafonda population lives below the poverty line, and as of 2021, it is the area with the lowest income in the comarca of Maresme. The neighbourhood gained international attention during UEFA Euro 2024 due to Lamine Yamal, a Spain national football team player raised there. He celebrated his goals by gesturing the number "304", referring to the local postcode of 08304. José Manuel Gómez Jurado, a politician of the party Por Andalucía, repeated the gesture in the Parliament of Andalusia in response to an anti-immigration speech by Vox's Purificación Fernández.

Vallgorguina (Catalan pronunciation: [ˌbaʎɣuɾˈɣinə]) is a municipality in the comarca of Vallès Oriental in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the hollow between the ranges of el Corredor and Montnegre. It is linked to Sant Celoni and to Arenys de Munt by a local road. The GR 92 long distance footpath, which roughly follows the length of the Mediterranean coast of Spain, has a staging point at Vallgorguina. Stage 14 links northwards to Hortsavinyà, a distance of 17.4 kilometres (10.8 mi), whilst stage 15 links southwards to Coll de Can Bordoi, a distance of 14.3 kilometres (8.9 mi).
