The Bridge Studios

Spring Brook is one of many tributaries of Still Creek, an important stream in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. It runs north just east of Boundary Road and joins Still Creek just west of Gilmore Station.The area was once known to Burnaby residents as Broadview. Local old-time residents Margaret and Flora McCallum recall how the children of the neighbourhood waded and played in the creek during hot summers. Local Chinese farmers used the low-lying parts of the creek to cultivate crops of watercress which would be harvested and sold in Vancouver's Chinatown.

Vancouver Film Studios is a film production facility located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and is operated by the McLean Group of Companies. It consists of 12 purpose-built sound stages ranging in size from 12,500 to 21,000 square feet (1,160 to 1,950 m2), eight production offices, and other support spaces. VFS in 2006 was the recipient of a BC Export Award in the New Media and Entertainment section, and was recognized as one of the top 21 exporters in British Columbia. It was founded in 1999. Its films include Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), Step Up All In (2014), If I Stay (2014), and The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008). Television series produced include Fringe (2008–2013, 100 episodes), Bates Motel (2013–2017, 50 episodes), and Arrow (2012–2020, 167 episodes).

Gilmore is an elevated station on the Millennium Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located on Gilmore Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The station is adjacent to several high-rise condominium complexes which are a component of the Brentwood Town Centre Development Plan, which drives the transformation of the area from a light industrial and lower-occupancy commercial zone into an urbanized centre.

Two Gilmore Place is a skyscraper in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada that is currently under construction. It is located at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Gilmore Avenue, immediately north of Gilmore station. When completed in 2025, the Two Gilmore Place will become the tallest building in British Columbia at 215.8 metres (708 ft) tall.

Willingdon Heights is a neighbourhood in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. It is named after a major Burnaby thoroughfare Willingdon Avenue connecting North Burnaby with Kingsway and the Metrotown area in the south. Willingdon Heights was developed significantly during construction spurred by the National Housing Act in 1944 that made mortgage money more widely available and provided joint loans for housing for veterans under the Integrated Housing Plan (IHP).

Sunrise Park is a popular urban park in East Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is located south of 1st Ave E and north of East Broadway, between Windermere Street and Rupert Street. Sunrise Park has a community centre, a baseball field and a children's playground. Sunrise Park offers panoramic views towards the North Shore Mountains, Burnaby Mountain, and Mount Baker, an active volcano in Washington State.

Burnaby Hospital, (formerly known as Burnaby General Hospital) is a healthcare facility located in Burnaby, British Columbia and operated by the Fraser Health Authority (FHA). One of the largest hospitals outside the City of Vancouver, it serves the communities of Burnaby and East Vancouver. A 314-bed primary and secondary care centre, patient care services include general surgery, orthopedic surgery, medicine, perinatal, neonatal ICU, critical care and emergency services.

The Thornton Tunnel is a freight railway tunnel in Burnaby, British Columbia, running under the Willingdon Heights and Vancouver Heights neighbourhoods. It was built in 1969 by Canadian National to connect Second Narrows Bridge to the main line in Willingdon, and is 3.4 km long. In the middle of the tunnel there is a ventilation building which is disguised as a house in a residential neighbourhood. It is located on the northeast corner of Frances Street and Ingleton Avenue, in Burnaby.

The Cassiar Connector is a highway traffic tunnel on the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located in the north-east corner of Vancouver, British Columbia, near the Vancouver-Burnaby border. Travelling northward, the tunnel begins under Adanac Street and passes under the interchange between East Hastings Street and the Highway 1 offramps. It ends underneath Triumph Street, with the highway continuing north to the McGill Street interchange (to the Port of Vancouver) and the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing towards the District of North Vancouver. The tunnel is 730 metres (2,400 ft) long. Dangerous goods are not permitted to be transported through the tunnel.

The Burrard Peninsula (Squamish: Ulksen) is a peninsula in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada, bounded by the Burrard Inlet to the north, the Georgia Strait to the west, the North Arm of Fraser River to the south, and the Pitt River and Douglas Island to the east. The City of Vancouver occupies almost all of the western half of the peninsula, and the Cities of Burnaby and New Westminster occupy more than half of the eastern half. At its northeastern end, the peninsula is connected to the Eagle Mountain and Mount Burke of the Coast Mountains via a small isthmus at the center of the Tri-Cities. The Squamish name for the Burrard Peninsula as a whole — or rather, for the long rise of land from Point Grey to Central Park, was Ulksen or Ulxen. The name Burrard Peninsula is rarely used in casual reference to the area among locals in favour of a specific community or neighbourhood therein.
