Fo Guang Shan Monastery

The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum (Chinese: 佛光山佛陀紀念館; pinyin: Fóguāngshān Fótuó jìniànguǎn), formerly known as the Buddha Memorial Center, is a Mahāyāna Buddhist cultural, religious, and educational museum located in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The museum is affiliated with Fo Guang Shan, one of Taiwan's largest Buddhist organizations. The museum is located next to the Fo Guang Shan Monastery, the headquarters of the order. The museum houses one of the tooth relics of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of the Buddhist faith. The museum was accepted as the youngest member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 2014.Since 2015, the museum has been certified ISO 50001 2011 by the Quality management system.

The Ligang Bridge (Chinese: 里港大橋; pinyin: Lǐgǎng Dàqiáo; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Lí-káng Tōa-kiô) is a cable-stayed bridge in Taiwan. It carries Freeway 3 (Second Southern Freeway) across the Gaoping River from Dashu District, Kaohsiung in the northwest and entering Jiuru Township, Pingtung County (although it is named for nearby Ligang). It measures 2,617 meters (8,586 feet) long. The tower is 183.5 m (602 ft) tall (roughly the height of a 65-story building). The side span is 180 m (590 ft) long, while the main span is 330 m (1,080 ft) long.

The E-Da Outlet Mall (Chinese: 義大世界購物廣場; pinyin: Yìdà shìjiè gòuwù guǎngchǎng) is an outlet store in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan that opened on December 18, 2010. It is the first outlet mall in Taiwan. With a total floor area of 185,628.92 m2 (1,998,093.1 sq ft), the neoclassical-style mall has facilities including a ferris wheel, cinema, entertainment park and hotel.

The E-DA Theme Park (traditional Chinese: 義大遊樂世界; simplified Chinese: 义大游乐世界; pinyin: Yìdà Yóulè Shìjiè) is a theme park with Greek styling located in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It claims to be south Taiwan's largest theme park.

Pingtung Plain (Chinese: 屏東平原; pinyin: Píngdōng Píngyuán) is a plain area including parts of Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. It includes the alluvial fan of Kaoping River, which forms the largest drainage area of rivers in Taiwan, and also passed by other shorter rivers such as Tungkang River, Linbian River and Shihwen River (士文溪). The plain faces the Taiwan Strait on the southwest, lies to the east of Kaohsiung City, and at the west of Central Mountain Range.

Dashu District (Chinese: 大樹區; pinyin: Dàshù Qū; Wade–Giles: Ta4-shu4 Ch'ü1; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Toā-chhiū-khu) is a suburban district located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan near the Kaoping River. Fo Guang Shan is one of largest tourist attractions in Dashu District. It is also the base of E-Da World, a new lifestyle destination that encompasses the upscale Crowne Plaza Kaohsiung E-Da World hotel, the E-Da Skylark hotel, the E-DA Theme Park, the E-Da Mall, E-Da City (Real Estate Development) and I-Shou University.

Pingtung Airport (Chinese: 屏東機場; pinyin: Píngdōng Jīchǎng) are two airports in Pingtung City, Pingtung County, Taiwan (IATA: PIF, ICAO: RCSQ). The airport is currently home to the Republic of China Air Force 6th Tactical Mixed Wing, and formerly offered commercial flights.

Pingtung County Council (traditional Chinese: 屏東縣議會; simplified Chinese: 屏东县议会; pinyin: Píngdōng Xiàn Yìhuì) is the county council of Pingtung County, Republic of China. It is currently composed of 55 councillors, all elected in the 2018 Taiwanese local elections. Being the largest county council in terms of seats, it succeeded the former Pingtung City Senate on 1 October 1950 after reorganization of the local governments.
