Ty-asch, Mamhilad

Persondy (the Priest's House), Mamhilad, Monmouthshire is a former parsonage dating from the late 16th century. It is a Grade II* listed building. The adjacent barn, now a separate residence called Ysguborwen, has its own Grade II listing.

The Church of St Illtyd, Mamhilad, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a parish church with its origins in the 11th century. Renovations took place in the 19th century and again in 1999–2000. It is a Grade II* listed building and an active parish church.

The Folly Tower (Welsh: Tŵr Ffoledd) is a folly located within the grounds of a working farm, close to Pontypool Park, Torfaen, South Wales (Grid ref: SO 2954902550). It is a prominent local landmark above the A4042 Pontypool to Abergavenny road and overlooks Pontypool to the west and rural Monmouthshire to the east. The Folly is octagonal in shape and roughly 40 ft (12 m) high and is approximately 1,000 ft (305 m) above sea level on the eastern hill range of the Eastern Valley of Monmouthshire, just south of Mynydd Garn-Wen. Less than a mile from the folly is the Shell Grotto.

Mamhilad (Welsh: Mamheilad) is a village in the community of Goetre Fawr in Monmouthshire, south east Wales.

Ty-Cooke Farmhouse, Mamhilad, Monmouthshire is a large farmhouse dating from 1710. The farmhouse forms a group with an earlier farmhouse, dating from circa 1600. The main farmhouse was constructed for Thomas Cooke, the manager of the Hanbury ironworks at Pontypool. The farmhouse is Grade II* listed, while the old farm, and the wall and gate to the property have their own Grade II Listings.

The Shell Grotto - (Welsh: Groto Cregyn) - (sometimes called the Shell Hermitage) is a Grade II* listed (as of 7 February 1962) late-18th-century stone built, cylindrical, slate roofed shell grotto decorated with shells and animal bones on the interior. It stands on a prominent ridge 700 ft (213 m) above sea level, within the boundary of Pontypool Park, Torfaen in south Wales. It is considered to be the best surviving grotto in Wales. It is an important local landmark commanding views south towards the Severn Estuary. A little further along the same ridge can be found the Folly Tower.

Ysgol Gymraeg Gwynllyw is a Welsh-medium all age school located in Trevethin, Pontypool in Torfaen, Wales and named for Saint Gwynllyw. The school had 926 pupils on roll in 2017. The school changed its name from ‘Ysgol Gyfun Gwynllyw’ to ‘Ysgol Gymraeg Gwynllyw’ in 2022 to incorporate going from a High School to an all age school, the first in South East Wales.

The A4042 is a trunk road that runs from Abergavenny to Newport in south Wales.

Little Mill Junction was a station on the former Coleford, Monmouth, Usk and Pontypool Railway, located between the main Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway line and the branch to Usk. It served the village of Little Mill, Monmouthshire.

Penygarn is a village near Trevethin in Wales. Penygarn has its own nursery, infant school and junior school. Penygarn has its new housing accommodation, Penygarn heights, built upon the grounds of the old Trevethin community school which has since been demolished.

Trevethin (Welsh: Trefddyn) is a suburb of Pontypool and a community in Torfaen, Wales. It includes two electoral wards (Trevethin and St Cadocs and Penygarn) for Torfaen County Borough Council. It is in the historic county of Monmouthshire.

Pontypool and New Inn railway station (Welsh: Pont-y Pwl & New Inn) is situated to the south east of Pontypool town centre between the town and the suburb of New Inn, Wales. The station was formerly called Pontypool Road until renamed just Pontypool in 1972 and then to the present name in 1994. It is part of the British railway system owned by Network Rail and is managed by Transport for Wales, who operate all trains serving it. It lies on the Welsh Marches Line from Newport to Crewe.
