Camel's Hump Natural Area

Camel's Hump (alternatively Camels Hump) is a mountain in the Green Mountains in the U.S. state of Vermont. The north slope of the mountain borders the Winooski River, which has carved through the Green Mountains over eons. At 4,083 ft (1,244 m), it is tied with Mount Ellen for the third-highest mountain in Vermont. Surmounted by 10 acres (4 ha) of alpine tundra, the mountain is the most significant feature in Camel's Hump State Park. Because of its distinctive profile, it is perhaps the state's most recognized mountain, featured on the state quarter.

Camel's Hump Forest Reserve is a protected area in the U.S. state of Vermont. The area is bounded by Vermont Route 17 on the south, the Winooski River on the north, the Mad River on the east, and the Huntington River on the west. The Forest Reserve covers a total of 127.68 square miles (330.7 km2) or 81,715 acres (33,069 ha) of both public and privately owned land, one of the largest blocks of core forest in the state. Camel's Hump Forest Reserve wholly contains Camel's Hump State Park, which is home to Camel's Hump, the third highest mountain in Vermont. Other state lands in the reserve include Huntington Gap Wildlife Management Area and Robbins Mountain Wildlife Management Area. Camel's Hump Forest Reserve should not be confused with Camel's Hump State Forest, a non-overlapping area south of Vermont Route 17.

The Catamount Trail is a long-distance, Nordic ski trail that spans the length of Vermont, extending more than 300 miles (480 km) from the border with Massachusetts at Readsboro, Vermont, to the Canada–United States border at North Troy, Vermont.

Honey Hollow Camp is a privately owned historic farm and retreat property on Honey Hollow Road in Bolton, Vermont. The property, originally marginal farmland, was developed as a wartime retreat during World War II. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. It is a seasonal residential dwelling and not open to the general public.

Bolton is the primary village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Bolton, Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The village is in eastern Chittenden County, on the north side of the valley of the Winooski River as it cuts through the center of the Green Mountains. The village is located along U.S. Route 2, which leads east 7 miles (11 km) to Waterbury and west 6 miles (10 km) to Richmond. Interstate 89 forms the northern edge of the community; the nearest access is from Exit 10 at Waterbury or Exit 11 at Richmond.

The Preston–Lafreniere Farm is a historic farm property at Duxbury and Honey Hollow Roads in Bolton, Vermont. Established in the early 19th century, it was operated by five generations of the Preston family through the 1990s. The property includes both a house and barn that date to the early 19th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, and is subject to a conservation easement held by the state.

WAVJ (103.3 FM) is a radio station licensed to Waterbury, Vermont, United States. The station serves the Burlington–Plattsburgh area with a Christian worship music from the Air1 network. WAVJ is owned by K-Love, Inc., successor to the Educational Media Foundation. WAVJ has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 2,850 watts. Its transmitter and tower is off Stoneface Road in Bolton, roughly halfway between Waterbury and Burlington. It also has a booster station in Montpelier. The station went on the air in 1985 as a religious radio station, WTIJ; it became WGLY-FM after an ownership change a year later. It remained a commercial religious station, emphasizing contemporary Christian music starting in 1993, until its sale to Radio Broadcasting Services in 1999 led to a relaunch as soft adult contemporary station WLKC. In 2002, it began simulcasting modern adult contemporary station WXAL-FM; three years later, WLKC changed to adult hits as WWMP. A mainstream rock format replaced adult hits in 2019; in 2024, this format moved to 102.3 FM, with this station then switching to Air1 as WIXM ahead of a sale to the Educational Media Foundation, and subsequent renaming to WAVJ, in 2025.

WGLY-FM (91.5 MHz, "The Light") is a Christian radio station licensed to Bolton, Vermont, serving the Burlington area. The station is owned by Christian Ministries, Inc.

The Washington-Chittenden-1 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Washington-Chittenden-1 District includes all of the Washington County towns of Duxbury and Waterbury, and the Chittenden County town of Huntington, and the gore of Buel's Gore. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Washington-Chittenden-1 District had a population of 8,077 in that same census, 0.51% below the state average.

Huntington Gap Wildlife Management Area is a wildlife management area in the U.S. state of Vermont. It consists of 1,602 acres (648 ha) in the towns of Huntington, Buels Gore, and Fayston. The area is owned by the State of Vermont and administered by the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department. The Huntington Gap Wildlife Management Area is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Vermont Route 17 in Chittenden and Washington counties. The area is wholly contained within Camel's Hump Forest Reserve. It is bordered by Camel's Hump State Park on the north, south, and west. Its far western boundary extends to Lewis Creek Wildlife Management Area.

The Jonesville Academy is a historic school building at Cochran and Duxbury Roads in Richmond, Vermont. Built about 1868, it is a prominent local example of Italianate school architecture, and was used as a school until 1955. It is now in private ownership as a residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
