Shellharbour Junction railway station

Shellharbour Anglican College is a co-educational Anglican school operated by the Sydney Anglican Schools Corporation. It opened in 2004 and accommodates pupils from Preschool to Year 12. The college operates in new, mostly permanent buildings in a semi-rural setting off Shellharbour Road, Dunmore. The school is located in Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. Flinders is a southern suburb of Shellharbour, located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Flinders is located approximately 111 kilometres south-southwest of New South Wales' capital city of Sydney. Flinders is close to a number of beaches and to and over 60 hectares of green open spaces including bush reserves, waterways and landscaped parks. Flinders adjoins neighbouring suburbs of Shellharbour, Shell Cove, Blackbutt and Shell Heights. The area is served by the Shellharbour Junction railway station which replaced the previous Dunmore railway station on 22 November 2014 . It was initially intended to call the new station Flinders. Premier Illawarra operates one bus route between Flinders and the railway station, namely route 52 to Shellharbour Junction railway station.

Dunmore railway station is a heritage-listed former railway station that was located on the South Coast railway line in Dunmore, City of Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. The station served the southern Wollongong suburb of Dunmore and indirectly Shellharbour and opened on 9 November 1887. The weatherboard station on Platform 2 dates from 1887. It is also known as the Shellharbour Railway Station Group, Shellharbour railway station and Dunmore Railway Station. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.As part of the electrification of the line to Kiama in 2001, the existing crossing loop was extended north and received a platform, albeit built out of scaffolding materials with most trains continuing to use the original platform. The loop also provides access to Boral's Dunmore Quarry. There was previously a level crossing immediately south of the station. This was closed in the late-2000s as part of improvement works to the adjacent Princes Highway.

Blackbutt is a southern suburb of Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. The eastern half of the suburb is occupied by the Blackbutt Forest Reserve. The suburb was named after the blackbutt tree, Eucalyptus pilularis.

The city is located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) south of Sydney and covers the southern suburbs of the Wollongong urban area centred on Shellharbour and it had an estimated population of 68,460 at the 2016 census. The area is bordered by the City of Wollongong to the north, with the boundary being the Lake Illawarra entrance (and the suburb of Lake Illawarra) and Macquarie Rivulet (Albion Park Rail). The Municipality of Kiama is to the south of the City of Shellharbour. The mayor of the Shellharbour City Council is Cr. Chris Homer.

It has two main beaches: Shellharbour Beach, which runs to Barrack Point and Shellharbour South Beach, which runs toward Bass Point.Shellharbour hosts Harbourside Markets on the fourth Sunday of the month, in Little Park.

Barrack Heights is a suburb of the City of Shellharbour in New South Wales, Australia in the local government area of the same name. Many institutions are located in Barrack Heights, including Shellharbour Public Hospital, Shellharbour Private Hospital, Warilla Bowling Club, Warilla Sports Club and Warilla High School. Barrack Heights is surrounded by the suburbs of Barrack Point, Blackbutt, Mount Warrigal, Oak Flats, Shellharbour, Shellharbour City Centre and Warilla.

Warilla High School is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, located in Barrack Heights, a suburb of the City of Shellharbour, in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia.Established in 1965, the school caters for approximately 1,250 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom eight percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 16 percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education.

Shellharbour City Centre is the central business district of the City of Shellharbour, located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia (not to be confused with the suburb, Shellharbour). Its name reflects its status as the commercial and administrative centre for the City of Shellharbour local government area, and is home to the Council Administration Centre (located in the Civic Centre), Stockland Shellharbour shopping centre, cinemas and other retail shops. In recent years, apartment buildings have become more common within the district. The suburb was planned and developed to be the commercial heart of the local government area. The concept was developed in the 1970s by council in conjunction with the New South Wales Department of Planning. Planning and development has since been undertaken by council in partnership with Landcom, in an area of land that was formerly part of Blackbutt.
