Skutterskelfe is a civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England and lies to the north of the River Leven. The population of the parish at the 2011 census was 129.The parish has a single Grade II* listed building, Rudby Hall, at Hutton Rudby, formerly called Leven Grove, and then Skutterskelfe Hall. The parish has three Grade II listed buildings, all connected to the hall – the pump house, the terrace walls and balustrade, garden wall and gate piers, and the north lodge to the park.

It is on the River Leven and 5 miles (8 km) west of Stokesley.Sexhow hosts the annual Elim Festival every summer, organised by the Elim Pentecostal Church.Sexhow station was on the Picton-Battersby Line; it operated from 1857 until passenger services on the line ended in 1954.There used to be a hall where Sexhow Park Farm now stands. Sexhow Park Farm has been the location of the 'Cornshed' music festival since 1986.A legendary dragon that plagued the village is a folk tale known as The Worm of Sexhow. It was described as being a beast that would feed on dairy and breathe out fire to burn farmers crops. One day, a knight came into the village, slew the beast and rode out again. The beast's scaly skin was said to have been displayed inside nearby Hutton Rudby church.

Sexhow railway station was a railway station built to serve the hamlet of Sexhow in North Yorkshire, England. The station was on the North Yorkshire and Cleveland's railway line between Picton and Stokesley, which opened in 1857. The line was extended progressively until it met the Whitby & Pickering Railway at Grosmont. Sexhow station was closed in 1954 to passengers and four years later to goods. The station was located 13 miles (21 km) south of Stockton, and 3.75 miles (6.04 km) west of Battersby railway station.

Seamer is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England, near the border with the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees and 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Stokesley. According to the 2011 census, the population of the village was 566, which North Yorkshire County Council estimated had dropped to 560 by 2015.Its name is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Semer(s), with later medieval attestations including Samara. The first element is Old English sǣ 'lake'; the spelling of the second element suggests variation between Old English mere 'sea', Old English mersc 'marsh', and Old Norse marr 'lake, sea, pool'. The dominant meaning of the name therefore seems to have been 'lake by the sea'.This rural village supports a small farming community. There are two churches in the village, a Methodist chapel and St Martin's Church of England. St Martin's is an 1822 rebuild of a medieval church, which was located in the same place. It still retains some 14th-century stained glass and is now grade II listed. The village also has the King's Head pub, and a duck pond on the village green.

The population of the parish was estimated at 20 in 2013. Busby Hall is a country house, possibly built after a fire of 1764. It is constructed from finely-coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone with a Lakeland slate roof in 2 storeys to an L-shaped floorplan and has a 5 bay frontage. The building is grade II* listed.

The population of the parish at the 2011 Census was recorded at 399 and was estimated at 300 in 2013.The village has a school, Carlton and Faceby Primary School, and a public house, the Blackwell Ox, but no longer has a post office or shop. Hilton is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is a small village with an estimated population of around 400, measured at 374 in the 2011 census. Despite its proximity to Teesside, the village retains its rural feel, and has a number of public footpaths surrounding it. The village church, the Church of St Peter, Hilton, which is largely unaltered since its building in the 12th century. The old Hilton Manor House was demolished in the 1960s and the site is now occupied by a number of houses along Manor Drive. Until the 1960s the village consisted of only around a dozen properties plus a few farms, but several small-scale housing developments in the 1970s and 1990s have seen the size of the village increase dramatically. The village has no shop, but has retained its pub, The Falcon (formerly The Fox & Hounds). At the turn of the Millennium, Hilton's village hall was refurbished and extended.
