Westphal, Nova Scotia

Route 318 is a collector road in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. It is located in the Halifax Regional Municipality and connects Dartmouth at Exit 6 of Highway 111 with Waverley at Trunk 2. It is also called "Waverley Road" and "Braemar Drive." The road follows the north shore of Lake Micmac, Lake Charles, Nova Scotia, and Lake William, which comprise part of the historic Shubenacadie Canal route.

Caledonia Junior High School is a Canadian public school in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It is operated by the Halifax Regional School Board (HRSB). Caledonia Junior High offers the grade 7 late entry French immersion program. After grade 9 students will continue their studies at Prince Andrew High School, or at Dartmouth High School if they wish to continue Late French Immersion. The school takes students from Ian Forsyth Elementary School, Michael Wallace Elementary School and Admiral Westphal Elementary School.

Lake Micmac is a freshwater lake located in the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada. Located entirely within the community of Dartmouth, Lake Micmac is also known as 'Second Lake' for its position in the Shubenacadie Canal system. The lake is bordered on three sides by roads: Waverly Road on its eastern shore, Highway 118 on its western shore, and Highway 111 on its southern shore; the bridge carrying this latter road also separates Lake Micmac from Lake Banook. The north shore of Lake Micmac is occupied by Shubie Park, a large urban park. There is also private beach frontage known informally as 'Mossman's Beach' on the northeastern end of the lake. Lake Micmac is a popular location for water sports and boating; the lake features a boat launch at Red Bridge Pond. Lake Micmac is named after the Mi'kmaq Nation who used the Shubenacadie portage route as a transportation corridor before the arrival of European settlers. Several pre-colonial archaeological sites have been found in the area of Shubie Park; many of the artifacts that were recovered are on display at the park's Fairbanks Centre.

Port Wallace is an urban locality in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is located on the northeastern edge of the community of Dartmouth and lies midway between Lake Micmac and Lake Charles. Its main street is Route 318, with portions being named Waverley Road and Braemar Drive. Shubie Park is a local municipal park which preserves part of the historic Shubenacadie Canal between the two lakes.

Manor Park is a neighbourhood of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. The main entrance to the neighbourhood is from the east on Portland Street (Route 207). A secondary entrance, from the west, is by way of Celtic Drive, rising from the low-lying area around Lake Banook. Within this neighbourhood is Brownlow Park, one of Dartmouth's local parks. The park, named after Dan Brownlow, a former Mayor of Dartmouth, includes two tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, a children's playground, and a pathway for joggers. The area also abuts Oathill Lake, which is surrounded by a wooded area with a walking trail. This lake is enjoyed by many including fishermen and swimmers.

Woodlawn High School (formerly Prince Andrew High School) is a Canadian public school, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It is operated by the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) (formerly the Halifax Regional School Board) and is an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school, offering the Diploma program. It also offers the O2 program (options and opportunities). Currently 796 students attend, and graduating classes consist of approximately 250-300 students. The school was opened in 1960 and has gone through numerous renovations throughout the years, and also a second gymnasium was added in renovations. Additionally, upgrades to the cafeteria has given it a more modern design.

Lake Banook is a freshwater lake located in Dartmouth within the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is home to three sprint canoe and kayak clubs, two rowing clubs, and a dragon boat club. It also has a claim to be the birthplace of ice hockey.
