St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and Cemetery is a historic Carpenter Gothic church and cemetery located at 6874 Old Church Road in Hibernia, on Fleming Island, near Green Cove Springs, Florida, in the United States. On June 4, 1973, the church and its cemetery, which is also known as the Hibernia Cemetery, were added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Black Creek is a tributary of the St. Johns River in Clay County, Florida. It is formed by the confluence of North Fork Black Creek and South Fork Black Creek. North Fork Black Creek originates as an outflow from Kingsley Lake and flows north and then southeast, meeting South Fork Black Creek on the east side of MIddleburg. North Fork Black Creek has Yellow Water Creek as its main tributary. South Fork Black Creek originates in a chain of lakes about four miles south of Kingsley Lake, with Ates Creek, Bull Creek, and Greens Creek as its main tributaries. Both forks are fed by areas of wetlands and numerous small streams.

Fleming Island High School (FIHS) is a public senior high school located in Fleming Island, Florida and is part of the Clay County School District. The school opened in 2003 and has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. The team name is the Golden Eagles and the school colors are green and gold. In 2013 FIHS made U.S. News & World Report's list of Best High Schools.

Fleming Island is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Clay County, Florida, United States. It is located 21 miles (34 km) southwest of downtown Jacksonville, on the western side of the St. Johns River, off US 17. As of the 2010 census the Fleming Island CDP had a population of 27,126. Fleming Island's ZIP code became 32003 in 2004, giving it a different code from Orange Park, the incorporated town to the north.

Julington Creek or Julington Creek Plantation is part of Fruit Cove. For newer residents, the area of Fruit Cove and Switzerland is called (Saint Johns). Switzerland is along the eastern bank of the St. Johns River, across from Green Cove Springs and Middleburg in Clay County, and is south of Jacksonville. The name derives from the late 18th century and early 19th century New Switzerland Plantation of Francis Philip Fatio, which was established between 1771, when Fatio arrived in Florida, and 1774, when Fatio moved from the New Castle Plantation to New Switzerland.In the 1970s and 1980s, the Switzerland area had one K-12 school named Julington Creek Elementary. In 1981, Allen D Nease Jr-Sr High School was opened and three feeder schools, Julington Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary and Ponte Vedra Elementary 7-12th graders moved to Nease Jr-Sr High School. There are many schools in the Switzerland area. The main elementary schools are Hickory Creek Elementary and Cunningham Creek Elementary. The middle school is Switzerland Point Middle School, and the high school is Bartram Trail High School.

The district is bounded by Bay Street, CSX RR tracks, Center Street, Orange Avenue, St. Elmo Street and St. Johns Road. It contains 78 historic buildings and 1 structure.

Green Cove Springs is a city in and the county seat of Clay County, Florida, United States. Green Cove Springs is a part of the Jacksonville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 9,786 at the 2020 census, up from 6,908 at the 2010 census. The city is named after the portion of the St. Johns River upon which it is built. The river bends here, and the area is sheltered by trees that are perennially green.

The Clay County Historical Society Museum is located in Green Cove Springs, Clay County, Florida. It is located in a former train depot. Exhibits include railroad memorabilia, a country kitchen display and a country store display. It is operated by the Clay County Historical Society. The museum is located at 915 Walnut Street in the Historical Triangle which also includes the 1896 county jail and 1890 courthouse at Walnut Street and Ferris Street (Hwy 16).

The Clay County Historic Courthouse is a historic county courthouse in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The two-story brick building was built in 1889 and used until 1973. A historical marker commemorates its history. It is located at 915 Walnut Street as part of the county's Historic Triangle which includes the Clay County History Museum, Railroad Depot Display, Old County Jail and Archives Center. On June 20, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Ellis and McClure. This historic location is home to Clay County Teen Court programs and is a venue for events such as mock trials, plays, swearing-in ceremonies, photo shoots and tours. The modern, fully operational Clay County Courthouse is a separate facility located at 825 North Orange Avenue in Green Cove Springs. Employees of the Clay County Clerk's Office (Clay County Clerk of Court Tara S. Green) oversee the operations of both locations' offices.

The Bubba Midden is a historic site near Green Cove Springs, Florida. It is located on Fleming Island, northwest of Green Cove Springs. On March 2, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
