Fleming Island is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Clay County, Florida, United States. It is located 21 miles (34 km) southwest of downtown Jacksonville, on the western side of the St. Johns River, off US 17. As of the 2010 census the Fleming Island CDP had a population of 27,126. Fleming Island's ZIP code became 32003 in 2004, giving it a different code from Orange Park, the incorporated town to the north.

Fleming Island High School (FIHS) is a public senior high school located in Fleming Island, Florida and is part of the Clay County School District. The school opened in 2003 and has an enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. The team name is the Golden Eagles and the school colors are green and gold. In 2013 FIHS made U.S. News & World Report's list of Best High Schools.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and Cemetery is a historic Carpenter Gothic church and cemetery located at 6874 Old Church Road in Hibernia, on Fleming Island, near Green Cove Springs, Florida, in the United States. On June 4, 1973, the church and its cemetery, which is also known as the Hibernia Cemetery, were added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Hibernia is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Florida, United States. It is located off US 17, on the western bank of the St. Johns River. It is the home of historic St. Margaret's Episcopal Church and Cemetery.

Black Creek is a tributary of the St. Johns River in Clay County, Florida. It is formed by the confluence of North Fork Black Creek and South Fork Black Creek. North Fork Black Creek originates as an outflow from Kingsley Lake and flows north and then southeast, meeting South Fork Black Creek on the east side of MIddleburg. North Fork Black Creek has Yellow Water Creek as its main tributary. South Fork Black Creek originates in a chain of lakes about four miles south of Kingsley Lake, with Ates Creek, Bull Creek, and Greens Creek as its main tributaries. Both forks are fed by areas of wetlands and numerous small streams.

Doctors Inlet is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Florida, United States. It is located near the intersection of County Roads 220 and 224, and is adjacent to the communities of Middleburg, Orange Park, and Lakeside.

Lakeside is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in Clay County, Florida, United States. It is part of the greater Orange Park area. The population was 31,275 at the 2020 census.

Doctors Lake is a body of water located off the St. Johns River in Clay County, Florida. Despite its name, it is not a true lake, as it is actually an inlet, openly connected to the St. Johns. Because of the estuarine nature of the St. Johns, Doctors Lake is itself somewhat brackish.Many docks border the lake for recreational activity such as boating, fishing and waterskiing. To the south, the lake splits in half into two small creeks that flow from swampland.

WAYR (550 kHz) is a non-profit radio station licensed to Fleming Island, Florida, and serving the Jacksonville metropolitan area. It broadcasts a Christian Talk and Teaching radio format, and is owned by Good Tidings Trust, Inc. It airs programs supplied by national Christian leaders and asks for donations on the air. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator stations, W277DE at 103.3 and W285FE at 104.9 MHz. In 2021, Good Tidings Trust purchased WAOC at 1420 AM and 96.5 FM in St. Augustine and simulcasts it's programming. In addition, since 1997, Good Tidings Trust has operated another FM station, 90.7 WAYR-FM, licensed to Brunswick, Georgia, which is separately programmed with Christian contemporary music.

Switzerland is an unincorporated community in northwest St. Johns County, Florida, United States, adjacent to Fruit Cove. Along with Fruit Cove, the community is associated to the zip code 32259. Julington Creek or Julington Creek Plantation is part of Fruit Cove. For newer residents, the area of Fruit Cove and Switzerland is called (Saint Johns). Switzerland is along the eastern bank of the St. Johns River, across from Green Cove Springs and Middleburg in Clay County, and is south of Jacksonville. The name derives from the late 18th century and early 19th century New Switzerland Plantation of Francis Philip Fatio, which was established between 1771, when Fatio arrived in Florida, and 1774, when Fatio moved from the New Castle Plantation to New Switzerland.In the 1970s and 1980s, the Switzerland area had one K-12 school named Julington Creek Elementary. In 1981, Allen D Nease Jr-Sr High School was opened and three feeder schools, Julington Creek Elementary, Mill Creek Elementary and Ponte Vedra Elementary 7-12th graders moved to Nease Jr-Sr High School. There are many schools in the Switzerland area. The main elementary schools are Hickory Creek Elementary and Cunningham Creek Elementary. The middle school is Switzerland Point Middle School, and the high school is Bartram Trail High School.

Orange Park Christian Academy (OPCA) was a private Christian school in Orange Park, Florida. It served students in kindergarten through grade 12 from 1981 to January 2008.
