The Diocese of Sion (Latin: Dioecesis Sedunensis, French: Diocèse de Sion, German: Bistum Sitten) is a Latin Catholic ecclesiastical territory in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. It is the oldest bishopric in the country and one of the oldest north of the Alps. The history of the Bishops of Sion, of the Abbey of St. Maurice of Valais as a whole are inextricably intertwined.

Sion Cathedral or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Sion (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Sion, Cathédrale Notre-Dame du Glarier) is the Roman Catholic cathedral in Sion, Valais, Switzerland. It is the seat of the Diocese of Sion. The cathedral, in the Byzantine style, contains several Roman inscriptions, 15 altars, and many fonts.

The Sion astronomical clock is an astronomical clock at the town hall of Sion in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. The clock was first installed in 1667–68; the present mechanism dates from 1902.The clock has five dials: on the two lateral sides of the clock tower, there are 12-hour dials. The principal dial on the front of the tower indicates, from the outer to the inner ring: the hours, on a chapter ring numbered I to XII twice, indicated by a double-ended fleur-de-lys hand; the signs of the zodiac; the months; the minutes, indicated by an arrow hand.The position of the Sun in the zodiac and the month are both indicated by a hand with a golden sun. The other end of this hand, with a star, indicates the constellation which passes through the meridian at Sion in the middle of the night.The two smaller dials underneath the principal dial indicate the day of the week, represented by an illustration of its classical deity, and the lunar phase by means of a rotating moon ball.

Majorie Castle is a castle in the municipality of Sion in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

It is situated on a hill and faces the Château de Tourbillon, located on the opposite hill. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

Sion railway station (French: Gare de Sion, German: Bahnhof Sitten) is a railway station in the municipality of Sion, in the Swiss canton of Valais. It is an intermediate stop on the Simplon line and is served by local and long-distance trains.

Le Petit Chasseur is the name of a megalithic site in Sion, Valais, Switzerland. Discovered in 1961, it consists of three dolmen, dated to between 2900 and 2200 BC. It is associated with the Saône-Rhône culture, part of the local late Chalcolithic phase (éolithique final valasian). The younger parts of the site are associated with the Bell Beaker horizon, including a cemetery with the remains of about 90 individuals (Dolmen M XII).

The Stade de Tourbillon is a multi-purpose stadium in Sion, Switzerland. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Sion. The stadium holds 16,000 people and was built in 1968 and renovated in 1989. At the time of the renovation, its capacity was 19,600. Salins (French pronunciation: [salɛ̃] ) is a former municipality in the district of Sion in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. On 1 January 2013 the former municipality of Salins merged into the municipality of Sion.
