The Valère Basilica (French: Basilique de Valère), also called Valère castle (French: Château de Valère), is a fortified church situated in Sion in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. The other end of this hand, with a star, indicates the constellation which passes through the meridian at Sion in the middle of the night.The two smaller dials underneath the principal dial indicate the day of the week, represented by an illustration of its classical deity, and the lunar phase by means of a rotating moon ball.

Le Petit Chasseur is the name of a megalithic site in Sion, Valais, Switzerland. Discovered in 1961, it consists of three dolmen, dated to between 2900 and 2200 BC. It is associated with the Saône-Rhône culture, part of the local late Chalcolithic phase (éolithique final valasian). The younger parts of the site are associated with the Bell Beaker horizon, including a cemetery with the remains of about 90 individuals (Dolmen M XII).
