Electoral district of Frankston

Frankston High School (abbreviated as FHS) or simply Frankston High, is a government-funded co-educational high school, located in Frankston, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school offers education for students from Year 7 to Year 12.

The Division of Dunkley is an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. The division is located south-east of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula. It covers an area of approximately 152 square kilometres (59 sq mi) from Seaford in the north to Mount Eliza in the south and Langwarrin South in the southeast. The division is currently unrepresented following the death of the incumbent, Peta Murphy, on 4 December 2023.

The Peninsula campus of Monash University is Monash's third-largest campus, with close to 4000 students and almost 300 staff. The campus is located at the "Gateway to the Mornington Peninsula", in the Bayside suburb of Frankston. It continues to specialise in its historical strengths of health and early childhood education. Monash teaching in primary education, nursing and physiotherapy are all based at Peninsula Campus. The campus offers programs from undergraduate through to PhD level. It has research strengths in health and well-being, education and business. At any one time, there are around 100 higher degree by research students at Peninsula Campus.

Mount Erin Secondary College is a secondary school located in the suburb of Frankston, Victoria, Australia. It has approximately 930 students and is the only school running the SEAL (Select Entry Accelerated Learning) program in the area. Other schools that run the program include Lyndale Secondary College and Wellington Secondary College.

Leawarra railway station is located on the Stony Point line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Frankston, and it opened on 30 November 1959 as Rail Motor Stopping Place No. 16. It was renamed Leawarra in 1962.The station serves the nearby Peninsula Campus of Monash University.

Frankston Hospital (officially Frankston Public Hospital) is a 454-bed public hospital located in the Melbourne suburb of Frankston in Victoria, Australia. It opened as the Frankston Community Hospital on 30 November 1941.It is the largest provider of general and speciality health care for Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula, and is the region's chief provider of acute secondary and tertiary medical and surgical services.The hospital has specialisations in mental health, maternity (midwifery) and pediatrics. It also has one of the busiest emergency departments in Victoria with 49 beds and around 63,000 presentations a year. The department was upgraded in 2015 at a cost of A$81 million.It is one of two hospitals in the Peninsula Health network, the second being Rosebud Hospital, which together support the network's smaller specialist campuses for community health, dentistry, physical and psychiatric rehabilitation, aged (elderly) and palliative care in Frankston, Hastings, Mornington, Mount Eliza and Rosebud.

The Electoral district of Frankston South was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was formed in 1985 when population increases in the Frankston area saw the Electoral district of Frankston divided into Frankston North and Frankston South. Both were abolished in 1992, with Frankston South mostly replaced by a recreated Frankston.

The City of Frankston was a local government area about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covered an area of 70.96 square kilometres (27.4 sq mi) in and around Frankston, and existed from 1860 until 1994.

The Frankston Power Centre, also colloquially known as "The Power Centre" (previously the Frankston Homemaker Centre), is a hard goods retail park run by Harvey Norman Holdings within the approximate centre of Frankston, being around 40 kilometres south of Melbourne's CBD. The complex comprises 30 large format independent stores, including parking for 1300 vehicles (including 425 underground parking spaces). Across from the complex are stores such as the hardware superstore Bunnings and JB Hi-Fi, but these are not run by the same company. The Centre is located at the crossroads of three major arterials of Frankston known as Cranbourne Road, McMahons Road and the Frankston Freeway.

The Frankston Arts Centre is a landmark theatre and art gallery in the outer Melbourne suburb of Frankston in Victoria, Australia. The centre plays host to a number of major performances, including regular shows by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Victorian Opera, and is a tour venue for the Australian Opera, Bell Shakespeare Company, Melbourne International Film Festival, Sydney Dance Company as well as a number of other national production companies. It was opened by then Prime Minister of Australia, The Hon. Paul Keating, on 20 May 1995.

Electoral district of Frankston East was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria. It was created in 1992, mostly out of the old Frankston North. The seat is notable for having decided the 1999 state election, which proved to be the last election in which it was contested. The incumbent, Liberal-turned-independent Peter McLellan, died on election day, forcing a supplementary election a month later. Neither the Coalition nor Labor had won a majority, placing the balance of power in the hands of three independents. They deferred their decision until the supplementary election. In the 16 October supplementary election, Labor candidate Matt Viney won on a swing of 7.7 percent, resulting in a hung parliament. The independents then announced their support for Labor, making Labor leader Steve Bracks premier.

Frankston railway station, in Victoria, Australia, is the terminus of the suburban electrified Frankston line and diesel-hauled services on the Stony Point line. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Frankston, and opened on 1 August 1882.
